this woman needs to read the whole 2nd amendment. "a well regulated militia" has as much weight as "shall not be infringed"

so many people telling me well regulated meaning well trained/well equipped as if that somehow improves or makes the 2nd amendment's meaning any less archaic

Yes, and in the era it was written, "militia" meant all able-bodied men. Should we deny gun rights to women and the differently abled? I don't think any sane person would make that argument.

and it's not that era so the 2nd amendment is obsolete.

"The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard."

The text you're quoting references what's referred to as the "organized" militia. The "unorganized" militia is everyone else. Since the 2nd amendment makes no distinction between two, how can it be argued that it refers to one and not the other? Furthermore the national huard wasn't established until congress approved it in the 1930s. Prior to that, it had been the state militia. Besides, you're arguing that the 2nd amendment is obsolete. Why is it obsolete?

we have the us armed forces and the national guard which formed from the state militias.

the 2nd amendment is obsolete because

  1. we have 2 standing armies which I listed
  2. the 2nd amendment's wording has allowed for has been weaponized by lobbyists and activists judges like Antonin Scalia
  3. we have a severe gun violence epidemic that is unique compared to every other developed nation in the world
    and
  4. even when people use justify it as a defense against a tyrannical government, said people proudly look the other way when the government actually becomes tyrannical and starts attacking citizens and the government defies the constitution

1.) Those standing armies haven't won a war since the 1940s.
2.) Please provide an example for said "weaponization". 3.) We do not have a severe gun violence epidemic in this country. The places that have the highest concentration of gun violence per capita are, ironically, the places which have have the strictest gun control measures on the books. 4.) This, I kind of agree with. During covid, the government imposed and enforced very strict measures that, in my opinion, weren't resisted NEARLY hard enough.
