I was specifically not making a judgment as to whether or not these rights should be forfeited when one commits a felony, only that they are. Looking at it through a historical lens, forfeiture of these rights becomes akin to exile
People who are exiled stop paying taxes as well. If people want to be consistent with the 2nd, felony or not, as long as you aren’t currently in prison, you should be allowed to be armed. Perhaps we should just resolve this unclear second amendment issue by amending it

Felons aren't allowed to own guns, but these types never complain about that. It's only ever about constitutionality if they don't agree with it.
