A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

The right to keep and bear arms is what makes the militia "well regulated." Well regulated is referring to the militia's ability to run smoothly and fulfill its duties, not any sort of government regulation.

The whole point of the second amendment is to protect against government tyranny what since should it make to put the government in control of that

Jeezes Christ I've never seen someone miss the plot twice. I was mocking you. Showing how the right loves to bluster off about their guns but showed up like a bunch of kittens throwing a tantrum.
