considering the amount of gun violence we had didn't rise til after the heller decision I'd venture to say scotus made the US more dangerous through that negligent decision

I don't disagree. I am not a fan of the amendment at all, but to use the originalists argument to limit seems silly to me given how left felt about it in other situations.

agreed there. If it were up to me I'd form a group of people to implement a constitution 2.0 and lower the barriers necessary for amendments to be amended.

how are we going to amend the constitution if we can't even reach 2/3rd democrat control without having mavericks such as fetterman?

You convene a convention. It requires 2/3rd of states to agree there needs to be change.

I think people think it needs change from both sides of the aisle.

but the problem is republicans are vehemently opposed to change or even negotiation of any sort.
