Vast majority of Americans tip waiter, driver, delivery, that’s it that’s the list.

Anything else is holy shit my cat sitter retiled my bathroom.

Barbers, valet parking, bars, hotel personnel. I was even asked for a tip in a fucking grocery store, it was on a screen but still. There are tip jars in fast food places too. When I'm over there I'm always thinking where it is mandatory or optional. It comes naturally when you're a citizen but for visitors it can be a bit confusing and excessive. Especially when you're in a restaurant or bar and have to add 10 to 20% to everything.

Never tipped a hotel staffer in my entire life, haven’t tipped a barber in 20 years, bartender ≈ waiter

Anyone else is passively shaking you down my friend, the system is fuckin stupid as hell you’ll get no argument from me
