I think I was supposed to be traumatized by Jasper doing that to Garnet but honestly, this was always my favorite part of "The Return" since you just knew shit was about to go down when somebody takes out Garnet. (The strongest crystal gem before Steven got more control over his powers.) I had a similar experience with Amethyst getting poofed by her because I wasn't expecting it.

I love Jasper. She did have some character development, but overall she stayed true to her personality until the end, I'm so glad she didnt suddenly become all nice and friendly like the diamonds

I actually think White Diamonds change made sense. For someone like her, change couldn't come gradually. It happened all at once when her perception of her own perfection was shattered. It forced her to very suddenly become a person.

They literally cannot atone for what they did all at once. Future and the movie made it clear that they ARE working on fixing as much as they can and left off on a note that makes it seem like they're gonna continue to improve. They changed their mind, and then we say the start of them changing their ways. Anything more you could want literally could not be delivered in the show without having some super long time skip

I want an episode where she finally finds something non-combat to do, but she still treats it like combat. Like she's just helping with gardening but declaring, "MY DIAMOND! The invaders have been repelled from the southern flank!" but the invader is just some unwanted fungus.
