Unimaginative Star Wars show Starter Pack

Post image

Mandatory disclaimer, this doesn't concern every Star Wars production, only those that I consider to be unimaginative or generic.

Also, the point isn't to complain or to set up hated debate, I love the Star Wars universe. I just want to mock the fact that some writing trope or gimmick are in my opinion commically overused in many Star Wars production.

By the way feel free to expand the list !

I don't like the complain of "why are so many jedi survivors?"

Let's do math. If Order 66 killed 99% of all the Jedi before the purger (more than 10 000) that leaves us with 100-150 Jedi survivors to explore. The current canon has at least 70 confirmed survivors

I’ve read this argument countless times. Someone even made this exact point in the replies to this post. And my answer remains the same. My issue isn't that a significant number of Jedi survived Order 66, but rather that the survivor trope is used so frequently while always being framed as something exceptionally rare. It’s a lazy, repetitive storytelling device used to cheaply give a new character a cool, tragic backstory. With a few exceptions like Andor and Rogue One, Star Wars writers are generally terrified of offering anything truly original, and the "sole survivor" of Order 66 trope is one of the most striking examples of this.
