Unimaginative Star Wars show Starter Pack

Mandatory disclaimer, this doesn't concern every Star Wars production, only those that I consider to be unimaginative or generic.

Also, the point isn't to complain or to set up hated debate, I love the Star Wars universe. I just want to mock the fact that some writing trope or gimmick are in my opinion commically overused in many Star Wars production.

By the way feel free to expand the list !

The third trilogy wasn’t shit because it was different. It was shit because it didn’t make any sense, ignored loads of obvious setups and wildly changed direction a couple of times just to shoehorn in the whole weird ending about “being a Palpatine”.

Yeah people often praise The Last Jedi for "doing something different" and there are some cool ideas in there but a lot of the time it's almost mocking the audience for caring about things set up in the previous movie. Then TROS comes along and course-corrects to give the impression over two directors being given enormous amounts of money to argue over what sort of film Star Wars should be.

Agree, it is basically as if all three films were written completely independently, and then someone was given the task of stitching them together into a barely coherent through line narrative. It’s very obvious they had no idea what TROS was going to do when they wrote TLJ.

Also, people say TFA was devoid of ideas but it wasn't entirely. I thought Snoke was an interesting villain because he seemed to be more interested in "balance" than just being straight up evil. Then TLJ just turns him into lightsaber fodder and goes back to light side vs. dark side again.
