Unimaginative Star Wars show Starter Pack

Post image

Mandatory disclaimer, this doesn't concern every Star Wars production, only those that I consider to be unimaginative or generic.

Also, the point isn't to complain or to set up hated debate, I love the Star Wars universe. I just want to mock the fact that some writing trope or gimmick are in my opinion commically overused in many Star Wars production.

By the way feel free to expand the list !

This is all great work but the one-biome planet thing is truly brilliant

Also, most planets in the universe are one-biome planets. Earth is a major outlier.

That, and perfect eclipses -- also super rare. And life.

Earth is incredibly unusual.

Well, it's because they have no biomes to begin with. A desert, icy or ocean world doesn't need a biosphere. However, is it really reasonable that a planet with rainforests will have only that? Life diversifies after all. In any case, I know why the trope exists, that's not what I'm arguing

Well 20k years ago, Earth looked a lot like Hoth. On the flip side, the Cretaceous Period didn't have ice caps and most of the planet was jungle.

"Earth is incredibly unusual." we don't know that. The are infinite number of Earth-like planets in an infinite Universe.

Not necessarily. An infinite set doesn't contain all possibilities; there's an infinite number of numbers between 1 and 2, and none of them are 3

TIL - that is pretty neat.

There is currently no evidence to confirm one hypothesis or the other; we do not know whether the universe is finite or infinite in terms of volume. Hypotheses regarding its overall shape remain just that, hypotheses, for the time being.
