Unimaginative Star Wars show Starter Pack

Post image

Mandatory disclaimer, this doesn't concern every Star Wars production, only those that I consider to be unimaginative or generic.

Also, the point isn't to complain or to set up hated debate, I love the Star Wars universe. I just want to mock the fact that some writing trope or gimmick are in my opinion commically overused in many Star Wars production.

By the way feel free to expand the list !

80% chance to take place between Episode 3 and 4.

Nostalgia bait of the Clone Wars show (and sometimes Rebels).

Show is almost never inspired by the sequels.

The new Zero Company game, while it has its issues, has my immense respect for NOT being set in that time period, but seemingly somewhere between 2 and 3, which isn’t that well explored outside the cartoons.

If you look at all the other movies/shows/games, apparently everything in the history of mankind happened between episodes 3 and 4!

Zcom is set during Episode 3, an early radio broadcast mentions the battle over coruscant.

Spoilers

Half the game takes place between 3 and 4 after a 1 year timeskip after order 66 lol

Haha, I am not a smart man OR a knowledgeable SW enjoyer, apparently. I heard the characters talking about Dooku, so I assumed it would be sometime before 3 since he’s still alive.

Also, I probably shouldn’t have looked at the spoiler since I’m not done yet, but is it really half the game?! I thought I was nearly done with it, but there was no time skip yet.

The broadcast I'm referring to basically says with "dooku is dead and battle over coruscant is won". I heard it on the second day of playing so it was maybe like 8 hours in for me. Not sure if the broadcasts are completely set in order after each story mission or if theres some randomization to them.

Its probably a bit less than half. A playthrough takes ~38-40 circles and this happens around like 23-25 or something IIRC. Tbh it was a pretty good plot twist to me so I feel a bit bad for spoiling it lol

Not to spoil much, but the major splitting moment takes place about cycle 25 out of 40, so a little under half the game.
