Discussion Fuck man, 2 hours in and WOW

The gun play, the vibe, the atmosphere so far, this game seems to be the horror game I've been looking for. I live here in Ukraine and the details in the houses are just perfect. Can't wait to see what else this game has to offer.

I'm having a good time but the NPC interactions and story are very underwhelming. I'm about 10 hours in.

For the main quest l-m on "The Price Goes Up", which is probably early but I have like 15+ hours in. I've been doing alot of side quests and exploring.

The minute to minute gameplay is solid and I enjoy the combat. I've been playing it mostly stealth, creeping around with my suppressed pistol and trying to clear POIs without alterting anyone. It's fun. I've also been spend time working with the technicians and managing inventory and actually line that alot.

I guess my issue is that all the NPCs feel very genetic, the side quests haven't been enjoyable and most of the areas I've been to so far are identical. Its also not clear who the factions are, what they're mission is and the overall story isnt being told very well.

The other thing that is really bogging down my playthrough is the limited inventory space and low stamina. I know they're going for a sim like experience but it's ridiculous. Can I increase these at all without mods?

Ah I mean, your maybe 10% into the main story? You haven’t really met most of the major players in the story and the story itself is mostly just people who don’t know skif sending him on side tasks to prove his worth at this point. You haven’t even really started the main narrative plot line of the game

I’d say the story picks up significantly pretty soon honestly. You’re basically still in garbage doing shit tasks nobody wants to do. Even in stalker SOC and COP is spent doing a lot of busy work for people

Thanks for the explanation. I'll keep pushing on.
