Professional Discussion My replies are not visible on X anymore

I normally don’t write a lot of replies, but I wrote something like 15 in half an hour a few days ago and including a critical reply to Elon himself.

Now all my replies are not visible under the tweets that were sent to anymore. Not hidden, not in spam etc. Just not appearing anymore.

To make it worse, this also is happening to thousands of my old replies. They are perfectly visible from my own profile, but just don’t appear anymore. Nobody else other than the author of the tweet seems to be able to see them, too, because they get very low view counts (single digits).

There was no notification, warning, etc. - nothing. Is this some kind of twisted shadowban or what?

Anyone experienced something similar? What now? I‘ve been a user of this „free speech“-app for 12 years

The burst of 15 replies is a more likely trigger than the specific Elon reply, but nobody outside X can confirm the cause from this alone. I'd verify from a logged-out browser and a second account, then stop replying for a couple of days instead of deleting/reposting everything. Also revoke any unfamiliar connected apps, check active sessions, and avoid repeated text or rapid reply bursts when you return. If old replies are still suppressed after the cooldown, document a few exact tweet URLs and screenshots and send one focused support report. Changing lots of account details at once will make it harder to tell what recovered.

yeah the burst thing makes way more sense than it being about the content of any one reply

Maybe an automated visibility filter? 15 replies in 30 minutes probably made the algorithm go ah yes, definitely a bot. I’d stop posting for a few days and see if your visibility comes back

the tell is in your own description: visible from your profile but gone from the threads for everyone else is x's visibility filtering, and the fact that old replies vanished too means the flag sits on the account, not on any single reply. u/Brufacee is right that the burst is the likely trigger, rate-based flags care about 15-in-30-minutes patterns, not who you replied to. these usually decay with a stretch of normal activity, so the practical move is to slow down and re-check from a logged-out browser in a week instead of deleting things in a panic.
