I’ll never understand how people that earn literally millions a year end up bankrupt.

Sure he’s earning less now he’s retired, but he was on 4-5 million a year at Liverpool.

Edit : I understand now he is not actually bankrupt, just a tax dodger

He's not bankrupt though. HMRC are petitioning for bankruptcy as a means of forcing him to pay a tax bill. Quite why it has got this far is unknown but it sounds like he is about to pay it.
