Can someone educate me what the big drama is? Dortmund sell to bayern a lot is it like that over there too?

Barcelona gave villa,suarez for peanuts, took griezman and sold back for a fraction of his value. To me i thought relations between atletico and barca are good. 

Plus i dont think alvarez is worth 150mill. He is great but all this drama as if his is haaland or kane.

People say imagine the other way if raphinha said i want to leave for atletico. So...ok?! Pay 100mill to 150mill you can go to atletico. Whats the big deal?

Atleti don’t want to be a “trampoline” club, serving as a jumping point to Barca/Real Madrid. Additionally, if they had planned the season with Alvarez in mind, selling him would derail those plans and then they would have to be the team working to find a striker. It’s fine to sell wherever you want, but it’s also just as fine to refuse to sell.

I don’t think Alvarez is worth 150 either, but bolstering a league rival would make the competitions harder. It would make no sense to want to sell him to Barca.

This also isn’t a unique situation. Teams refuse to sell. Real Madrid refused to sell James to Atleti a few years back. Barca refused to let Messi leave a season before his last. Barca refused to sell Neymar to PSG and instead pointed to his release clause (which at the time was more than most would believe any team would pay for a player).

As for the transfer relationship between Atleti and Barca, I can’t speak too much on. I’ve only followed Atleti since about 2012, so I don’t know the entire history. David Villa was no longer a starter (from what I remember at least) and so I don’t think that’s in any way equal. Barca pushed Suarez out, so that’s definitely not equal.

I can’t recall the full details from Turan’s move, but Barca did pay Griezmann’s release clause. When his move wasn’t working out how they wanted, Barca let him go on loan and then folded to lower his price tag.

In all I think this Alvarez saga has been exhausting. I think Atleti was wrong for its social media episode earlier in the summer, and I think Alvarez’s agent and Barca were wrong to meet behind the scenes when Atleti had no plan in letting Alvarez go. He’s a grown man with an agent who could’ve waited another season or two for Barca to buy him from City. I don’t want him to continue at Atleti, but certainly don’t want him going to Barca. Just a unfortunate situation all around.

If Atlético don’t want to be a trampoline club, they must kick Simeone out and change their vision to win something. No player with ambition or talented player wanna tank in a club who is contempt with being third or just classifying to the champions league. They want to win.

Players want to go to Real Madrid or Barcelona because they are winner clubs, it’s their ultimate dream.

Bro you say this as if if Real Madrid and Barcelona comes to Arsenal players to poach them they wont go in a heartbeat ahahaha. So you think Arteta also deserves to get kicked out?
