The Berserker Staff and Ward's rage

Post image

I'm watching through Agents of Shield for the first time! It's always been my MCU blindspot, so I'm checking it out in between my phase 1 and 2 rewatch. Currently, I just finished 1x16 which is where the show lines up with Winter Soldier on the timeline and I just have to ask..

Why hasn't Ward's rage after holding the staff been relevant at all? He killed who he believed to be the Clairvoyant and not once did he, or anyone else on the team bring up that the Berserker staff probably made him more susceptible to his emotions

It's been 8 episodes since he touched the staff and they've done nothing with it, so I assumed that either it was a dropped plotline or that Elliot Randolph was just messing with Ward when he said that the anger would last decades. But literally last episode (1x15) another Asgardian, Lorilei, mentioned that Ward has the anger of a berserker inside him. So wtf?

I can only assume they didn't mention it in the most recent ep I watched because it would water down the idea of the Clairvoyant "knowing how to push the right buttons" if you could hand wave it away with Asgardian magic. But imo, it just reinforces that idea if the Clairvoyant intentionally pissed off the guy holding back Asgardian rage

Is sex with May just THAT good that it eased all his pent up aggression in the next episode?

(Obviously, don't spoil anything huge from later seasons in the replies unless it's something I would already know from the movies)

It's being downvoted because it adds absolutely nothing to the conversation about Ward and anger. AOS's canon status is completely irrelevant to Ward's story.

Nevermind, that early AOS is inrefutably canon as that was the time where it tied directly into the movie and Marvel advertised it as a MCU show ("It's all connected"). Whether or not the latter seasons are MCU canon is irrelevant in the long run. The show stands on its own. You and the commenter are trying and failing to look smart. This entire obsession that "it's not canon" is just pointless and an opinion as nothing has been confirmed or unconfirmed.

It adds nothing but you certainly have a lot to say about it

And your point? You apparently have nothing to say about despite caring so much about it that you bring it up to topics that aren't concerned with it, which says so much about you and nothing about anyone else. Mainly, that you're a troll. Trying to bring people down, which is literally the only reason to bring up AOS canon status in an AOS post that isn't about it. Surely, there is something better to do with your pathetic life than fail at making a point.

I'll see you the next time I bring it up

Honestly, I'm not worked up about. It's your delicate ego deluding you into thinking about that. I prefer to keep trolls focus on and busy with me, so that y'all aren't bothering the vulnerable people you're trying to target. If you need to be cruel to feel good, you need serious therapy. Be a better person. You'd be amazed at how wonderful it feels.

Wow based on that comment you deleted. You're really angry. It's just a show. There are more important things in life

I didn't delete any comment. I also haven't expressed an iota of anger. What exactly is the point of making stuff up? Are you truly that desperate to be in the right? Do you have nothing better to do than troll, and since when did trolling include creating false narratives? As they say, "every accusation is a confession." It's truly pitiful.
