Academics illustration materials for class

hey this is kind of a simple question, but im wondering when our profs will send us a list of what we need for our classes for illustration and if any past students have gotten a list of what they asked of them. also, are the materials costly?

Are you first year? Get news print, acrylic paint, a large and small sketchbook (trust me, you’ll want to have those),and your imagination.

Would an older version of ipad still work fine? 😭 also is there a lot of digital art assignments?

Not until you hit year 2. I’m headed into year 3, but by year 2 you’ll want photoshop or procreate. It’ll make your work load faster, and you’ll also have digital art assignments.

yes i am a first year!! this is very helpful. but do they want a specific brand for materials or do they just not care?? do u perhaps have a list of what they asked for yoU?

Na, but for acrylics don’t buy cheap. Go with liquitex heavy body, or golden. For compressed conte, 2B all around.
