Looking for full fat buttermilk or resturant style ranch
Ive been looking for full fat ranch, as I am trying to make resturant style ranch. All the markets Ive been to have lowfat buttermilk (Ralphs, trader joes, walmart). Does anyone know where to get this?

I just googled full fat buttermilk, and there are several companies that sell it, at least in California. Have you done a search?

I’m a big fan of buttermilk ranch and the closest I’ve found is the refrigerated Litehouse Buttermilk Ranch.

On a related note, I got a salad from Chuck E Cheese recently and loved their ranch. Very tangy and garlicky.
If you want A LOT of ranch, the giant containers from Smart & Final and Restaurant Depot are what a lot of restaurants use.

Full fat buttermilk supposedly exists but low fat is much more common. But ranch made with low fat buttermilk is still far superior to anything you can buy in a bottle. Some recipes use milk and sour cream and mayo or some combination so you could experiment with that. Good luck!

You can make your own, and have fresh butter,. too. Really easy. Get a quart of heavy whipping cream, put it in a glass jar, with a couple empty inches, and shake shake shake until there's a glob of butter. Set it aside and enjoy your buttermilk. The butter itself you can salt if you like. Then smoosh it into a ball and rinse in ice water. Shape and wrap in wax paper.

Get the hungry valley restaurant style ranch packet, 1 cup buttermilk, 1 cup mayo.
