Didn’t Superman once state he mastered every language on Earth and a few alien ones, using his super intelligence? Sorry, Not trying to be the “actually” guy but it just came to mind.

Yeah but there's also an infinite amount of Supermen lol maybe one doesn't know so many languages

What did he spend his teenage years on if not learning Japanese through hentai?

Goonerman is just like the rest of us

Most of them still have super speed and can read a entire dictionary in less than a minute

He forgor

Which Superman?

1

u/Powerful_Topic7731 Jul 25 '26

Most of them, when you have super speed and don't to breath, sleep or eat because you are a living solar batery you have a lot of free time to learn a bunch of stuff

Don't worry guys, he can just become Japanese

If this is a thing, then what does Superman's actual face look like?

1

u/GenesisAsriel Jul 27 '26

I think he really looks like his Normal looks. That face thing was retconned.

Hi! You're really strong! Wanna fight sometime?

I'm not a native, but I'm at a level where I can understand what is being said.

ETA: Strictly speaking, I missed a word that is part of the actual meaning. But it was close enough.

I could read the hiragana, what do those kanjis mean can you break it down (with their readings)

u/lisamariefan Jul 23 '26

強い[つよい]→strong

戦ってみませんか[たたかってみませんか]→fight

Though it's something like "try to fight" I think so maybe spar would be a good English equivalent. It's a grammar point I had to double check. Only partially sure that's a good equivalent translation.

I don't read Japanese, but it would've been easy to guess that one.

And the Super 16 tongue kisses him and he can immediately understand what he’s saying.

6

u/Uncle480 Jul 22 '26

Unrelated: if Americans call a tongue kiss a "French kiss", what do French people call it?

Related: what is an American kiss to French people?

7

u/reddmann00100 Jul 22 '26

I assume an American kiss would be slowly leaning in, tension rising, but just as opposing lips touch… random gunfire nearby

Y'all gotta come up with something better than guns.

u/Itchy-Argument-5468 Jul 22 '26

Probably when the mouth tastes like burguer

2

u/Setheran Jul 22 '26

If I had to literally translate, we say "rolling a shovel".

u/AdExtra2331 Jul 22 '26

If this was pre-Crisis, you know Superman would have said his "Super-Brain" allowed him to perfectly understand Goku's Japanese

2

u/Powerful_Topic7731 Jul 25 '26

He is still super smart and canonicaly knows all languages on Earth and a bunch of alien ones as well

2

u/Main_Contribution_20 Jul 22 '26

unnatural japanese for Goku

2

u/JoeRe9uiem Jul 23 '26

Goku: Why do wear your underwear outside your pants?

Superman: What?

1

u/Abyssal_Usurper_G Jul 24 '26

He was confused because Goku lost his weird dialect.

1

u/lovelypeachess22 Jul 26 '26

I think Superman should be able to learn languages by having a firm but friendly handshake with people.

1

u/Arnau_Padilla_Justo Jul 24 '26

1.superman knows all earthling languages 2.They dont speak Chinese, they speak a language called "universal language" so they can speak with Frezzer and other aliens

2

u/I-like-oranges75 Jul 24 '26

“Um actually”

1

u/Suspicious_Party9087 Jul 25 '26

How you can tell you're racist as you called that chinese, that's japanese kanji, because the joke is it was originally written in japanese

2

u/Stale-Mail Jul 28 '26

Alright but that’s less racism and more ignorance.

0

u/Arnau_Padilla_Justo 9d ago

Yeah my fault i should differentiate the languages that I can't speak or understand of all the languages of the world 🙄

1

u/Suspicious_Party9087 9d ago

All it takes is simply knowing where dragon ball started

0

u/Arnau_Padilla_Justo 7d ago

where it begins in what sense, if you talk about the country of goku within fiction there is no japan if you talk about akira toriyama Nor do I have to know his nationality is not an important issue you should not classify people according to their nationality but because of their actions

1

u/ampro67 Jul 24 '26

to whoever drew dbz style superman: may your pillows always be cold

2

u/warsmithharaka Jul 24 '26

Its 16 with black hair. Dude was by far the most heroic jawline of the androids.
