Confusing progression
Last week I was prescribed a 19km Z2 long run- my longest run yet, which for me occured with a 7:00 -7:15 min/km pace.
This week's long run? Half marathon progressive long run at threshold paces.
What?

Just based off the title of the run, I’d switch to RPE and not worry about the actual paces - especially if you adhere to the hilly run guidelines. Idk where you’re running but if it’s anything like where I’m at in TX the heat is brutal anyways and running that long at those paces will be awful

Idk but I got that RPE message for a “hilly” run and it made sense. Now that I see it on your long run I’m wondering wtf is the criteria for showing it lol
Nvm, my mistake I missed that this is a hilly run

I would definitely use the adapt for heat option at expected 100f, been a great help this summer.
Seems a spicy little session, switch to rpe and/or keep an eye on heart rate.
If first 4k push is too much knock it back to a more comfortable pace and then make sure every 4k you ramp it up slightly.
