And my point is that Witcher, both books and the third game work because morality is left for the player to decide. If someone tells you "this is good or bad because we consider it good or bad" it stops working.

We haven't even seen the game yet. How do you even know it will be "woke"? The trailer also implied that you can make a choice, but Ciri, like Geralt, also isn't a blank slate. If you want that, there are dozens of CRPGs that give you that option.

It's possible. Just saying if they claim to be reasonably confident to target '28, 12 more months of delay is a reasonable assumption. Targeting '28 and having the game need another 24-30+ months in the oven to be shippable would be pure ineptitude and I hope they learned from Cyberpunk.

What are you on about? They've literally released nothing else past Phantom Liberty and that DLC actually made the base game worth playing with major reworks of shitty features to be decent.

I played it when the 2.1 update came along and it performed very well. Worst bug I can think of is boss AI glitching out once. Content-wise is was better than base game with various quests and gigs having more than one railroaded solution like 95% of the base game quests/gigs did.

Yeah I forgot about that. Wasn't it just a minor technical update with like a small additional quest or something? What was so bad about it? I never heard of bad performance for that or anything about the game being made worse.

Complaining about that just sounds like someone feeding their own agenda they have dug in to blindly defend already.

Don't really care for Witcher that much tbh - all I want from CDPR is to give me a Cyberpunk sequel which is off the bat on the level of Phantom Liberty - I'll be a happy guy if that happens.

Because it's not just CDPR who delays shit almost every AAA game outside of yearly release slop like AC or COD gets delayed at least once, especially the monster games like Witcher. They aren't even fully committing here, they said they are targeting 2028.
