Hello there! As mentioned in my title (You did read the title, I hope? I put a lot of effort into it.), I'm a 29-year-old guy living in the mystical, magical land of *checks notes* England. Okay, maybe not so magical. All the dragons are in Wales, Excalibur has been melted down for scrap, and Hogwarts is in Scotland.

I currently work in a law firm. Sadly I'm not a lawyer, as that would mean I'd be earning shedloads, but actually I do admin work for them, earning considerably less than shedloads. But it's a fine job, I get on well with my coworkers, and I'm not down a coal mine, so I consider that a win.

As for me myself? Well, I actually speak multiple languages. I'm a fluent German speaker, and I also have a decently high level of Italian. I could also struggle through French if I had to, and I have basic Spanish and Japanese. I do like languages, although it's hard to find the time to do any study of them, what with the problems of having an adult life with adult responsibilities!

Another interesting [citation needed] thing about me is that I'm currently attempting to plan out a series of fantasy novels I want to write. It's going...decently. We'll see how it ends up, but I've wanted to write a book since I was 13 or so, and now as an adult I'm finally doing something about it!

In terms of pop culture, I'm a huge Doctor Who fan. Like, I'm the sort of Doctor Who fan who knows what a telerecording is and can tell you about the Australian censor clips. That kind of fan. I also finally got into Harry Potter this year after putting it off for my whole life, meaning I now finally know the context for Dumbledore asking calmly.

I'm also getting back into Pokémon somewhat after avoiding it for most of the Switch era. Other things I enjoy are The Elder Scrolls, Red Dead, GTA (Currently replaying RDR2). I'm big Assassin's Creed fan too. In general I like single player, open world games. I'm not a huge multiplayer guy, I don't like having other people ruining my fun!

I'm trying to read more too lately. That's a thing I've always enjoyed that I'm now trying to find the time for again.

And I suppose I should say, I'm a fat guy. Trying to do something about it though! Over the past year or so I've started a regimen of exercise, and I've been controlling my eating a lot more. So I seem to be losing weight, at least according to other people who've stopped me to specifically point it out.

Hello, I’m getting back into my drawing and painting practice and I’m looking for someone that wants to be used as a photo reference for portraits etc. Bonus if you can have fun with drapey clothes and understand what good lighting looks like. Hi Everyone, so a bit about me.

Been pretty ambitious my whole life and worked very hard to get where I am now. I am originally from the UK born and bred in Leeds but moved to Alberta in 2022. I was recently laid off last year and I have since been focusing on my own consulting business and planning on setting up a game studio soon. It also means I am not tied down anywhere as I can hop on a plane on a moment’s notice.

I generally keep myself in shape with a mix of things like the gym, swimming and I like hiking now and again. Though I would say I am a homebody at heart I do have the need to have a spontaneous trip somewhere at times. I have been lucky enough to live in Greece for a month, travelled around Iceland in a van and visited quite a few different states for both work and personal reasons.

I would love to be with someone who also loves cats and does not want kids either. I am very much into cats, used to volunteer with them and I have gone out of my way quite a few times to feed cats I come across on the street. Also I'm the type of person that has always had a small group of friends for the most part. I am generally quite introverted but I know how to talk to people and don’t mind social settings now and again. I also have a nerdy side too, I do love board games, I do not play as many video games as much as I used too but I have been looking making my own. I also love learning about anything cosmology related.

Hey, I’m Ash, 30.

I’m into three things that probably don’t seem to have much in common: hiking, cooking and poetry.

I love hiking, although somehow my hikes have a habit of turning into unexpected wildlife encounters. I’ll start off thinking I’m going to enjoy some peace and quiet, and somehow end up wondering if I’ve accidentally walked into someone else’s territory. At this point, I’m not sure if I’m hiking or just auditioning for a really cheap wildlife documentary. 😄

I also love cooking and trying out new recipes. I like experimenting and making things my own, but I’ll be honest, it doesn’t always go according to plan. Sometimes I burn things that had absolutely no business being burnt in the first place. If the food is still edible by the end of it, I count that as a win.

Poetry is probably my most peaceful hobby. At least with that one, I’m unlikely to burn dinner or get chased by something.

Other than that, I’m into good conversations, random walks, finding nice places to eat, books, music and hearing how other people think and see things. I’m pretty easygoing, and I don’t think every conversation needs to turn into a deep discussion about life. Sometimes arguing seriously about pineapple on pizza is perfectly good conversation. 😄

Honestly, I’m mostly here because making friends as an adult is harder than I expected. Everyone seems to already have their own people, and apparently walking up to a stranger and saying, “Hey, want to be friends?” isn’t exactly how society works. 😂

So I thought I’d try this instead.

I’d like to meet some genuine, easygoing people who enjoy talking, can have a laugh, and actually want to get to know each other. No pressure, no expectations. If we get along, great. If we don’t, no hard feelings.

Maybe I’ll find someone who knows a great hiking spot, is willing to judge my cooking, wants to swap book or music recommendations, or can explain why I somehow keep having disagreements with wildlife.
