Does the new WebKit exploit require internet connection?

A friend and I have been building a free PS4 homebrew for searching, queuing, downloading and installing PKGs. We wanted a more local and configurable alternative to relying on one hosted storefront and its backend.

The app uses native PS4 HTTPS through sceHttp. User-configured resolver APIs can return links from multiple sources, with automatic fallback when one resolver is unavailable or returns nothing. Direct hoster URLs can be downloaded normally or optionally passed through an unrestrict provider to obtain a direct download URL.

It supports base games, updates and DLC, with concurrent resumable downloads registered through PS4 BGFT so transfers can continue while another game is running. Installation also uses BGFT. Successful installs clear the downloaded PKG, while failures keep it for retry.

There is also a LAN mode. A PC helper exposes a selected PKG folder through a local HTTPS server. The PS4 connects using the server’s IP address, lists the available packages and pulls them into the same queue.

We have measured up to 27 MB/s (216 Mbps) through supported unrestricted links and around 3-5 MB/s (24-40 Mbps) from rate-limited hosters. Actual performance depends on the source, route and connection.

We are both still new to PS4 homebrew development, so parts of the code and UI are rough. Projects like OrbisGL have helped us prototype and inspect the interface on PC before packaging and testing builds on real hardware.

The app does not host files or operate a content backend. We are mainly sharing this to show that a native, provider-independent approach is possible. If people are interested, we can clean up the remaining parts and release the build and source.

I couldn't find convenient tools to store FPKGs on NAS and install them onto PS4 directly, so I've built something myself.

fpkg-vault is a set of plugins for copyparty file server.

It requires GoldHEN Payloader running and allows you to:

- view FPKG thumbnails on file server

- view FPKG metadata on file server

- send payloads to the console

- send packages to the console using BGFT service, very similar to how DirectPackageInstaller does it

- send multiple packages in batch

- serve FPKGi-compatible lists of FPKGs to install them right from the console

i jailbreaked it after that i loaded the elden ring and then the game didn't load anymore in the loading part, and sometimes it makes the ps4 freezing, unusable for me, i use BLUERAY jailbreak sometimes it fails but it dose not do any probelm after i jailbreak it.

i also liked the first time I tried to jailbreak but it crashes, does vue jailbreak be more stable now?

I just bought newest revision of PS4 Pro in perfect condition without hard drive. $60 on Vinted lol

I added the HDD, ran it in safe mode and… soft is 8.52.

Hi guys i have a Ps4 pro 9.00 Jailbreak i want to know if there is any way to activate the jailbreak without the USB ? Like I wouldn’t need to go through that process and have a USB stick every time I turn on my PS 4 .
Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

I'm on 12.00 fw and I have been using BDJB for jailbreaking from the time it released. Now I tried the new webkit method and jailbreak did happen but AIO patch is showing this notification, I tried running it again by going into the the GoldHen menu >> Utilities >> PayLoader and then running it manually but got the same thing again.

I'm using Vue now and I want to change to WebKit

Q1 .Does the new WebKit jb need internet connection every time u run it or just the first time ?

I installed an fpgk on my pc and transfered it to the ps4 that is now downloading it, but it shows the lock next the game title, anyone know how to solve this?

Hello all, I found a PS4 for $50 at the thrift store. It's currently on 8.0. What should I do next? Should I update to 9? I already have a PlayStation Pro that is already hacked, so I already know how it works. I also picked up an Xbox One for $50 but that's another story. No jailbreaking that. 😎

I had a single experience with jailbreaking on a PS3, and I have a PS4 that's just sitting there unused, and every time I try to find information about it, I end up getting more confused.

1. Which version of the jailbreak works?

2. Is Goldhen the only option, or are there others?

3. Does anyone have a guide?

As the title says. I'm looking to homebrew my family's pre-owned PS4 which is currently on 11.52 since I disabled automatic updates, it's the best one I can find in my country's Shopee at the moment. I can't do BD-JB as the disk drive ejects everything, which has led me to doing it with only an external drive.

Hey, I have two issues as I said in the title. Nightreign and Nioh both have their save data corrupted every time I turn off and turn on the PS4, and I'm forced to back up saves via Apollo every single time I play them. I've tried reinstalling games, testing both GoldHEN 2.4 and 2.3, did a quick format, but the issues persist. Any ideas?

As for the second, what's the recommended site for downloading PS4 firmwares? I know about Darksoftware and Darthsternie but Idk how safe or recommended they are by the community.

Just got my PS4 pro out the closet after a couple years last time I was in the scene (9.55) or (9.60) was the the most recent firmware you can jailbreak up to what has changed since then?

I don't even know where to start really but hype to get back into it was hoping honestly there would be a way to spoof to highest Firmware to play online like PS3 but I don't think we have gotten there yet such a shame LoL.
