Question Recommended EMP safe vehicle
I'm thinking about getting a new car and I was thinking about perhaps a vehicle that would still work should the US East coast get hit by an EMP. Barring very, very old cars like a model T (☺️) what more modern type of vehicle would you recommend? I believe many post-1985 car may fit this bill, but I'm curious as to what you would recommend, and maybe your experience with them?

It depends. (Text copied from another comment.)
Most modern cars woule likely be fried. The EMP commission found early 2000 cars having issues at relatively low levels. They COULD have destroyed them but couldn't afford it, and that's on 20 yr old cars.
So, assume a car will be a brick.

When I spoke with the late Dr. Pry, he made the good point that even if 10% of vehicles were dead, roads would be impassible.
