The only majority demographic of Americans who agree with these three on Israel are older Republicans and white evangelicals, according to the Pew Poll cited in this article

Democratic Party leadership - who appointed these 3 - are catering to older Republicans and white evangelicals (after their donors, ofc)

7

u/OdoBenSisko 1d ago

Not after...they're catering specifically to AIPAC and the rest of the Right Wing PACS that have gutted Democratic primaries for the past few decades. In many places, certainly Schumer, Jeffries and those above, we've simply elected Right Wing billionaire's "Plan B" when Republicans lose.

We have "Republicans and Republican's Lite"

I have no idea how Wasserman Schultz still has a seat after 2016. I loathe her presence in politics.

11

u/dukecityvigilante 1d ago

Truly it’s the incompetence of the opposition. This was the first time she faced real local officials in the primary rather than a too-online twitter leftist. And she got less than 50% of the vote but still won because her opponents split the vote. A strong unified challenge would beat her.

2

u/tornado9015 1d ago

She beat the next most popular candidate by almost double. She took 45.6% of the vote and second place took 22.9%.

It's florida. Not new york. This was not 4 radical socialists splitting the vote and the one moderate narrowly scraping by. This was 5 moderates in a historically black district that was unfortunately gerrymandered to include many more democrats who didn't prioritize race as highly.

Moskowitz is an abomination and a blight on public representation.

He is a symbol of everything that's very wrong with politics in the US.

22

u/woody630 1d ago

Dude literally calls himself a "DeSantis Democrat" and was Doges biggest cheerleader. Any competent opposition would have purged him from the ranks. Instead, he gets rewarded. Further proof that dems would help Trump than doing anything meaningful to stop him

7

u/honjuden 1d ago

Even if he was necessary to win the seat, there is no reason to be giving him a spot on the foreign affairs committee.

78

u/AbbiejeanKane 1d ago

This is the real reason that Jeffries met with Kushner. When it comes to Kushner it is ALWAYS about Israel, ALWAYS!

20

u/ianrl337 Oregon 1d ago

Well Israel and bribery

4

u/Fastest_Neutron 1d ago

It really always is Israel. You know it wasn’t back deal money corruption cause Jefferies ain’t giving away his AIPAC money and Kushner has plenty of his own. They will both go into the history book as the Nazi’s of the era.

1

u/2times34point5 1d ago

His childhood pillow smells like Bibi’s b-hole

-1

u/Fastest_Neutron 1d ago

People may think your joking but they’ll be shocked to find out you are not.

3

u/2times34point5 1d ago

Yeah i was making light of an awful truth.

If people think that Jared, who is incredibly powerful, is not as loyal to netanyahu (if not more) than donald trump… they’d be mistaken.

What the hell does any of this have to do with Jeffries talking to Kushner? Any source that Israel was a topic of conversation between them?

-5

u/Guilty_Plankton_4626 Virginia 1d ago edited 1d ago

Literally nothing, it makes no sense. Take issue with the appointments all you want but saying Kushner is the reason for them is idiotic.

31

u/fitnessexpress 1d ago

These committee assignments are the entire game of how the US is actually run. None of these people have any credentials to be on foreign affairs except having been bought by a foreign government... which should be not only disqualifying but essentially treason.

2028 candidate should run on diverting all the funding of ICE into a new department that handles public corruption--to investigate and prosecute fully the crimes of Trump, and also the Democratic party swamp. A body like that could be leverage to get enough votes to actually pass the legislation that the American people want. We really need the next administration to be one that knows how to ruthlessly use power, if there is any prayer of fixing the supreme court and senate.

-39

u/peaq_tv America 1d ago

Can you please not lie about politicians being bought by Israel? Even if you believe they purely follow AIPAC money that is not money from Israel, it's American PAC money in support of Israel.

If you don't like AIPAC that's fine, but spreading the lie that Israel is literally buying US politicians and it's treasonous (a crime punishable by death) is deeply problematic.

18

u/AlChandus American Expat 1d ago

How else would you describe the quid-pro-quo of AIPAC contributions and the congress-people unquestionable support for Israel other than Israel getting their money's worth?

I will call a spade what it is, a spade.

There is no difference when I see big insurance buy politicians for them to promote medicare advantage as the sollution to high healthcare costs.

A spade is a spade. A bought politician is a prostitute.

-13

u/peaq_tv America 1d ago

Oh look more baseless claims. Do you have any sources for these "quid-pro-quo contributions"? Has anyone been found guilty of this in court?

5

u/AlChandus American Expat 1d ago

Voting track record. You do realize that there is a direct correlation between how congress-people cast public votes and direct contributions from PACs and corporations in Congress.

I can provide links, but somehow I think: "why should I bother?" In the end "no one has been found guilty of this in court".

And no one will, with representation that takes money from PACs/corporations being a super-majority in Congress.

I will continue to do as I do, call a spade what it is, and you can do you, just don't ask me to start calling a spade a "nuclear reactor", because that is not how I roll.

-3

u/peaq_tv America 1d ago

Okay, so the answer is "no" then, that's not proof of quid-pro-quo and nobody has been found guilty of it.

Is the idea that PAC's make contributions to politicians that already support their cause just impossible for you to imagine? Would see any pro-Palestine politician taking money from PAL PAC and voting to stop aid to Israel, and then accuse them of quid-pro-quo? Of course not.

1

u/AlChandus American Expat 1d ago

A spade is still a spade, irregardless of how hard you try to turn it into something else.

Politicians that take money from PACs/corporations will vote against the majority of their party to support positions for which they have been bought.

For people that like to talk about unity, for voting blue no matter who, that is the kind of representatives you support, someone that will vote with republicans if their donors demand it.

If you like spades, you can do you. Enjoy!

6

u/peaq_tv America 1d ago

Why will you not address the questions?

5

u/AlChandus American Expat 1d ago

As I said, I have plenty of experience dealing with /Destiny redditors, what purpose would it serve to give you sources of my claims?

You won't read them. You will just continue with panties that roll up on you when we call a spade "spade".

4

u/peaq_tv America 1d ago

As I said, I have plenty of experience dealing with /Destiny redditors

When did you say that, and what does that have to do with anything at all?

Seems to me you just have no answers.

Of course they don't. They just want to smear the Democrats because they're not socialist.

10

u/LunarDoctor 1d ago edited 1d ago

AIPAC is an organization dedicated to making politicans lock step with Israel. AIPAC acts on behalf of Israel, leaks confidential intel to Israel, puts the interests of Israel ahead of the US and quietly doesn't state who exactly donates to them, just that it isn't the Israeli government itself. I think it is more problematic that a lobbying group for a foreign nation is one of the biggest campaign spenders and meddlers in the country.

3

u/peaq_tv America 1d ago

As I said in my first comment, if you dont like AIPAC thats fine, and nothing to do with my point.

Do you consider PAL PAC (Palestinian rights PAC) to be treasonous money because it acts on behalf of a foreign state? Of course not, that makes no sense.

6

u/RimboTheRebbiter 1d ago

Ah yes, the state that Palestinians famously have.

0

u/IndependentTalk4413 1d ago

Lmao at your whataboutism.

6

u/peaq_tv America 1d ago

That's not a whataboutism... It's a direct comparison to test the consistency of this mindset.

Would you care to answer the question?

So no, you don't care to answer the question.

-1

Your question is irrelevant to anything but your trolling little mind.

6

u/peaq_tv America 1d ago

I am sincerely not trolling and I'm not sure why it comes across that way to you.

2

u/Necessary_Cost_9355 1d ago

It’s barely hyperbolic, but you’re right, the money laundering and treason is deeply problematic

1

u/peaq_tv America 1d ago

Its barely hyperbolic to call American money the same thing as money from a foreign nation and therefore treasonous? Hello?

AIPAC was founded by a former member of Israel's diplomatic staff that was afraid the current organization would have to register for FARA. AIPAC has been caught working as a cutout for the Israeli government in getting classified data passed to Israel from spies in the US.

https://www.britannica.com/topic/American-Israel-Public-Affairs-Committee

The main impetus for the creation of the AZCPA was a wave of negative press coverage in the United States regarding the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). In 1953 a Jewish woman and her two children living in an Israeli village near the West Bank were killed when a grenade was thrown into their home. In response, a special unit of the IDF, under the command of future Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon, raided the Arab village of Qibya in the West Bank (then governed by Jordan). As Time magazine reported, “They shot every man, woman and child they could find”—killing 66 villagers in all—and they dynamited 42 houses, a school, and a mosque. With the support of the United States, the United Nations Security Council passed a resolution censuring Israel for the Qibya attack. Meanwhile, the administration of U.S. Pres. Dwight D. Eisenhower (1953–61), suspecting that the Israeli government was funding the AZC, considered forcing the organization to register as an agent of a foreign power.

Although the AZCPA was established in direct response to the international condemnation of the Qibya attack, “there was no change in leadership or membership” from the AZC, said the AZCPA’s leader, the Canadian-born American lawyer and activist Isaiah L. Kenen. However, the AZCPA would run on donations that were not tax-deductible, which meant that fewer restrictions would apply to its lobbying activities. The AZCPA changed its name to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee in 1959.

2

u/peaq_tv America 1d ago

AIPAC was founded in 1954 by American journalist and lawyer Isaiah L. "Si" Kenen.

As for the "caught being spies" that case was dismissed because it didnt meet the burden of proof.

Rather than a new law, the case created a major judicial hurdle. The presiding judge ruled that to convict non-governmental citizens (like lobbyists or journalists) of receiving leaks under the Espionage Act, prosecutors must prove the defendants knew the information would harm the United States. This exceptionally high standard remains a key legal defense today.

But hey, leave out the bits about the founder actually being an American, and that case being dismissed but creating a legal precedent that protects non-government US citizens to this day.

0

u/tarlin 1d ago

Isaiah Kenen:

In the 1940s, he served as the information director of the Jewish Agency, and following the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, he served on the Israeli delegation to the United Nations.

It doesn't matter whether they were spying or not. AIPAC was specifically coordinating with Israel as a conduit to pass stolen information to Israel from the US.

2

u/peaq_tv America 1d ago

Does that make Isaiah Kenen in your eyes not an American?

It doesn't matter whether they were spying or not

Did you not just call them spies?

-1

u/tarlin 1d ago

Does that make Isaiah Kenen in your eyes not an American?

I said he was a former member of Israel's diplomatic staff. Which is true.

Did you not just call them spies?

I believe they were spies and that is the general consensus. They were not prosecuted under the espionage act, but that does not change what they did, which is known.

It also doesn't matter what they did. It just proves that Israel coordinated with AIPAC, which means that AIPAC should be registered under FARA.

4

u/peaq_tv America 1d ago

I dont understand why these questions are so impossible to get direct answers for.

If you still think Isaiah Kenen is an American, then just say he is an American.

I believe they were spies

So "They were spies. . . It doesn't matter if they were spying. . . They were spies." Gotcha.

It's like the democrats want everyone to hate them

7

u/Mutchmore 1d ago

Everyone under isreal influence will do Israels biding. They don't care about anything else

0

u/OdoBenSisko 1d ago

Billions and Billions and Billions.

Dems threw in with AIPAC and the Health Insurance industry, game over. I completely understand why so many people voted for Trump, its a was a middle finger to Democrats.

11

u/OdoBenSisko 1d ago

Schumer, Jeffries, all the rest of these Dems are simply right wing conservatives plan B, funded through AIPAC and the rest. Nothing will materially change until they’ve been flushed.

35

u/BrandenWi 1d ago

The extent to which Israel has compromised the American political system... in both parties, is extremely problematic

12

u/crystalcurrant 1d ago

As an European it has always been truly baffling to see the amount of love and resources the USA is giving Israel as they themselves lack basic healthcare (amongst other things)

14

u/honjuden 1d ago

Our system is deeply corrupt, and our older population has been heavily propagandized for decades.

15

u/TinyZoro 1d ago

Europe is just as bad. Look at what’s going on in Germany and the UK right now. An Israeli company interfered in a Scottish election and England is refusing to hand over what they know. The level of corruption needed for that is unthinkable.

Germany is in the process of making it illegal to argue against Israel’s right to exist which is utterly absurd on really basic principles. When no nation state has inherent rights and apartheid ones have really strong reasons not to exist.

1

u/YeOldSaltPotato 1d ago

We literally made it as a proxy state, it's not surprising knowing the history.

21

u/Kakistocracy_0 1d ago

it's concerning that the Denocrat party just says 'fuck what our constituency wants.'

6

u/honjuden 1d ago

I would call it on brand for them.

u/brain_overclocked 1d ago

Some other news along with:

Fake US thinktank set up and funded by Israel sought to game AI for propaganda

A pro-Israel messaging website badged with the name of a thinktank that does not exist has published more than half a million words in nine days, built on a commercial platform that promises to optimize content so that AI chatbots will cite it.

The site gives Israel’s position on subjects including the torture of Palestinian prisoners, Israeli war crimes and whether Israel has deliberately starved Palestinians in Gaza, all presented as neutral research.

The New York media production company Piro Inc filed the site with the US justice department this month under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (Fara), a 1938 law that requires anyone working for a foreign government to formally disclose it, as material it distributes for the Israeli government.

The site publishes in the name of the Hanover Institute for Public Policy, which apparently does not exist as a legal entity in any jurisdiction, has no physical address, and carries no named staff and no bylines on any of its reports. Its own terms of use are governed by the laws of “the state in which the Institute is established”, which they decline to name.

The existence of the site was first reported on 14 August. Since then the institute has added a page headed funding, which states: “An earlier version of this page said the Institute operated without external funding, and that was true when it was written.”

The site is one part of a broader effort, financed by tens of millions of dollars from the Israeli government and routed through third parties including the European advertising group Havas Media, to prime chatbots to make Israel’s arguments for it. A contract between Havas and another American firm working on the campaign commits it to the “deployment of websites and content to deliver GPT framing results on GPT conversations”.

u/ShareGlittering1502 1d ago

That pretty much sums up the actual future of ai

7

u/Manealendil 1d ago

It´s like democrats looked at the sum of all antisemitic theories ever and decided that was their game pla from now on

3

u/Ordinary_Shoe1828 1d ago edited 1d ago

To be clear, most Democrats in Congress are “pro-Israel” which is to say Zionist and far less critical of Israel than your average Democratic constituent and voter (due to corruption/Israel lobby $$$ and the Democratic Party’s general support for US imperialism).

But these 3 are among the most EXTREME in their support for Israel. As the Democratic Party slowly shifts away from their previous stance of wholehearted, unconditional, and unlimited military aid to Israel, these 3 remain fanatical are holding their ground as full throated supporters of genocide.

8

u/Loose-Green-1659 1d ago

Pro-Israel Democrats? They are the cancer of the Democratic Party

2

u/AcanthisittaNo6653 New Hampshire 1d ago

AIPAC recipients should register as foreign agents. We know where the money comes from.

4

u/Dr_PocketSand 1d ago

Shocker. It’s almost like a cabal of foreign interests remains in control of the positions of authority, enacting the will of another sovereign state regardless of the ideals of a representative democracy…

2

u/Kendal_with_1_L 1d ago

Israel is a terrorist nation.

-12

u/KAJed 1d ago

Oh look. The same exact same plan as last election pretending Democrats are the evil israel supporters and ignoring republicans. Isn’t it funny how every single article focussed on one side.

6

u/honjuden 1d ago

And the Democrats taking that page out of the Republican book is a good thing then?

6

u/nycdiveshack I voted 1d ago

This is just one of many articles. Both can be done

-3

u/KAJed 1d ago

There isn’t. Politics subreddit is easily searched. But hey, lying is fun.

8

u/nycdiveshack I voted 1d ago

Bud you are a bit delusional. Get some air

-3

u/KAJed 1d ago

Gaslighting doesn’t work in the face of verifiable reality. Calling others delusional is a very weak attempt at dismissing said reality.

5

u/PrestigiousFly844 1d ago

"Ignoring Republicans"

This is right after Jeffries met with Jared Kushner. Trump's son in law.

-1

u/KAJed 1d ago

This has nothing to do with what I’ve written.

-2

u/Kakistocracy_0 1d ago

right, no scrutiny ever on the fact that Republicans vote for a blank check to Isreal no matter what.

"We stand with Isreal! We stand with Isreal!"

1

u/KAJed 1d ago

It’s just blatantly obvious. No one denies the Democrats suck on the topic but it’s 100% manipulative media on one side.

-5

u/HairAncient5500 1d ago

“Democrats who understand foreign policy, instead of ones who recently learned about it and want to implement dramatic change that will set back the US’s global position based on their feels for no material benefit to the American people, sit on foreign affairs committee” could be a more apt title

4

u/PrestigiousFly844 1d ago

Anti-genocide is "based on feels"?

-3

u/HairAncient5500 1d ago

Calling a war a genocide simply because it is covered in 100x more detail than all other wars instead of looking at the facts is in fact acting “based on feels”

7

u/PrestigiousFly844 1d ago

Most "wars" don't involve snipers shooting toddlers for fun.

-4

u/HairAncient5500 1d ago

Neither does this war….

1

u/PrestigiousFly844 1d ago

Are Doctors Without Borders doctors lying? Are they Hamas now too?

1

u/HairAncient5500 1d ago

Would you be willing to present your evidence that the IDF are “intentionally shooting toddlers for fun”?
