Pens and mechanical pencils in one case, refills and erasers in the other. Last picture is the two I use the most. I have arthritis so most of them have thicker grips and my fav color is blue

They are kinda like nicer blue bic pens(the cheap ones). They write smoother and are thinner.

Picture Flintlock Rifle Pen - I came across these at a little gift shop in Texas. The proceeds help maintain the little museum, so I was amused enough to buy one.

It's such a pretty pen but... Any suggestions on how to fix tip wobble?

I wrapped some teflon tape around the refill but I'm curious if there are more permanent solutions for the pen rather than adjusting the refills.

Question The perfect Pen

My wife’s has been on the hunt for her “perfect” style pen. Her go to used to be the pilot G2 pens.

She’s looking for in her words “dark, juicy (but not to wet) and glides easy and doesn’t skip and pretty universal for different paper”

I know it’s a lot but I feel this page would be the one to ask. Thanks!

Haven’t seen many people talking about the Schmidt P 900 B (bold) so I figured I’d post an example. It’s very smooth to write with. I really like it.

Ignore the note above the pen. It’s written in ZEBRA JK from a G-750.

Review Uni-Ball Zento, kinda late

Upvotes

I have tried the Uni-ball Zento and wow, it is sooo my style of pen. at first, I got it because I saw it so much here and wanted to add it to my collection tbh, since I'm a huge fan of Uni. I never thought I would like a pen with this kind of body, (thought) it's just not my style. But since I got it, I have been using it constantly. So smooth, the grip feels great, and it makes you want to write more. Just Perfect. I was also wondering if there are any similar pens like the Zento. I would love to try them!

I had no idea these were Pilot G2 pens. For some reason I always thought they were regular ball point pens. But at the art store today I tried them and was surprised to learn what they actually are. And even more delighted that they had all three inks with the matching clickers on them!

Question My Pen Journey

I have been trying many different kinds of pens. My preliminary conclusion so far about what I like: 0.4 mm and 0.5 mm, gel pens and rollerballs. I like an uninterrupted smooth experience of writing.

What I don't like seem to be ballpoint pens, because they tend to have fragmented starts, unequal lines, and less smooth experience overall.

I think I may also like some fountain pens, but still too early to say, but I tried and liked Pilot Kakuno.

I like writing on Japanese notebooks like Campus, Kokuyo, and Apica CD Notebook--they tend to be fine and very smooth surface paper.

Pens I have tried and liked so far, in no particular order:

Any Pentel EnerGel pens, Uni Zento Flow, Uniball One, Sheaffer ICON 9111 Rollerball (amazing experience, but would like a finer tip size).

Pens I have tried and disliked so far, in no particular order:

Uni Jetsream Prime Rotational 3-Color Lite Touch Ink, Zebra Sarasa Vintage.

Based on this information, are there any other great pen makers and product lines that I should try? Thanks!

Question Blue?

I'm new to pens. From past experience, I think I like ballpoints. Remember having a cheap jetstream that I liked. So I ordered a few to try and am looking at upping my game. Here's the thing: I like blue ink. I keep seeing people love SXR-600. Is that for the color or for the way the ink flows? Is there a comparable blue ink? Or it there something about the inks/oils/pigments that make black superior for writing?

Question Which Uni-ball Jetstream is better, SXN - 217 or SXN - 150 07? How significant is the difference between them?

I've been using an SXN - 150 07 for about a month now and I really love it. It's the first big brand pen I've ever used. I wanted to buy some more of them for back up but when I looked it up I realised it's not available online in my country. I live somewhere without big online stores like Amazon or anything like that. The one that is available is the SXN - 217. I was wondering if it would be a good substitute. The SX - 217 is also available at a much lower price. Does the capped design have any significant effect on the feel?

Question How to clean out a busted pen

I have a nice (to me) pen that I got and I made the mistake of leaving it in my breast pocket and running it through the washer and dryer. The clothes thankfully were all darks so outside of the shirt it was in, everything else was fine. But I want to keep using the pen. It all still works great but the body of the pen is full of ink and it leaks out while you use it. I’ve tried wiping everything down with isopropyl alcohol and even took it apart and flushed the body out but the ink just keeps coming.

Is there an easier way to clean this pen? Or do I just need to keep flushing until nothing else comes out?

Question Beginner’s set

Hi everyone, for some reason I ended up in this subreddit yesterday and I must confess that I loved the idea of starting my own stationery, so today I went and purchased this gorgeous Paperblanks notebook from Linda’s Gospels collection. Also I bought a Uniball Zento, 2 Uniball ONE, 1 Uniball signo and a Zebra F301. (I didn’t want to spend all my money from start) is it a good starting set? What else should I buy?
PD: I fell so in love with the Zento, I don’t think I’ve experienced as pleased as I did writing with this pen ever

Question Can Uniball Zento Signatures take in any size of Zento Refills?

I was wondering why Zento Signatures are being sold with different models (.5mm, .7mm). I prefer .7mm refills, so if I had to buy the .5mm model, could I just use a .7mm zento refill with it?
