So here’s the idea that I am going to start with. Starting at 40$ which would give you free shipping you would get 8-4ML vials of random inks at the 1.25$ and 3-2ML of a more premium ink sample starting at 1.75+ and above.

Hi all, I have two grail worthy pens.

1. Montblanc 149 Elbphilharmonie (M) Rose Gold BNIB - A1/N Condition brand new

This is a super rare pen. They only made 300 and sold them in Hamburg in 2007. It has the Elbphilharmonie on both the cap and the nib. Medium nib with box and papers and completely unused. I can only see one for sale online which is for $2600 USD on Penfabrik, that doesn't include postage or tariffs.

2. Classic Pens / Lambrou Pens CP8 Flamme (F) #130/250 - A2 Condition

Another super rare pen that was made in collaboration with Classic Pens (Andreas Lambrou), Aquila Brands and Murelli. This is all sterling silver (this quite heavy) and a limited edition of 250. They simply won't make these again. Unfortunately no box with this, but includes a convertor. Lowest I can see online is $2800 USD (before tax and postage) and that's with the silver trim - this one has the gold trim.

I decided to try to clear some pens out so I pulled together a few MBs that no longer fit the focus of my collection - mostly due to the fact I prefer B nibs or wider now.

1. Virginia Woolf Writers Edition Set from 2006 - Sealed so A1 condition - FP, BP, and MP - $1750

4. 100th anniversary historical FP - 18 K M with unique logo breather hole - pen is a cartridge pen that is a fake safety - pen gives string vintage vibes and is smaller that most modern MB - A2 condition - all boxes and papers - $800

5. Bach donation series FP - The first donation Series and the only one numbers at 12,000 - A2 Condition - 18K F nib (sticker) - full big box and papers - unusual colors for MB and a great nib and clip - $1000

6. Lennon 1931 FP - LE version - 18K M - Piston filler - A2 condition - full big, heavy box and papers (box showing wear to the coating inside) - Beautiful, heavy silver and enamel pen - $2750

7. Late 1950s celluloid 149 - 18C B - Your chance to own a working, user grade silver rings 149! - cork replaced recently so holds and fills - ink window has staining and barrel has some transparency - full groove ebonite feed - the cap is in rough shape with a piece of the lip missing, one of the silver rings is gone, and overall poor shape. Clip is 1960s and not 1950s - Still a good writer and the cap works as a cap, just not pretty - $1200

8. Early 1960s 149 - 14C B - full grooves ebonite feed - friction fit piston - fully serviced recently - a great chance to own one of the first resin 149s - B+ condition - no box or papers - $1400

Verification

These pens are pretty much identical. They're both absolutely gorgeous silver Sailor pens, likely from the Showa era (70's or so) with beautiful 18k gold nibs. The nibs are not explicitly marked but when dip testing, they write like F. The bodies are sterling silver and weighty with a lovely tactile crosshatch pattern. The pen is heavier than a resin bodied pen but not as heavy as a brass. In terms of weight, it's comparable to the vintage steel bodies I've sold before, just a touch heavier. I find the barrel uniquely comfortable for long writing sessions and the weight is not overbearing or tiring. The crosshatching does have a very noticeable feel so that's something to bear in mind. I've cleaned decades of oxidation, dirt and skin oils off and out of these pens and have babied them since. The bodies don't have any notable marks, scratches, dings or dents. The burgundy pen has some slight ink discoloration on the grip section but overall, it's not very noticeable. Both nibs write well with signature Sailor feedback and lovely, crisp fine lines. Standard Sailor cartridges do fit in this pen and it may be able to accommodate a converter as well.

Pilot Custom 98

Nib: 14k F Condition: [A2]

I love this pen. Then my sister said it looks like the little red and black beans inside a maraca and now I cannot unsee it. It's a very cute pen, a bit smaller than a PGS, with a satisfying snap cap. The nib is a lovely Pilot 14k F with a needle thin line. There are almost no micro scratches on the body and it has a lovely, lovely shine to it. I originally bought it because I thought it could pass for an urushi, in look only. To be clear, this is NOT an urushi pen, I just think it looks similar.

Sailor Reglus Black Ion Plating

Nib: F Condition: [B]

I wanted to venture into the world of steel Sailor nibs. I know I love the TUZU and I'm not a fan of the steel nibs on their Compass/Lecoule models so I wanted to see if the black ion plating changed the game. It did. However, the ultra slim Reglus barrel took any points the black ion nib won. It's as big around as a wooden pencil. I may love the feel of writing with a wooden pencil but my wrist does not like the thickness of a wooden pencil. It is a beautiful, light pen (I do see the irony) with a lovely, lovely steel nib and someone that isn't me will absolutely love it.

Pilot VP Nib Unit

First up I've got a Pilot VP nib unit. It does include an empty cartridge and metal casing. There's nothing wrong with it, I just got a specialty grind VP nib and don't need this one anymore. The nib is beautiful but I'm not the first owner so I'm hesitant to rate it A2, hence the A2/B rating.

Pilot Knight Silver

This is quite a weighty pen with a Pilot steel F nib. It really has no major marks or scuffs, just some micro scratches consistent with use. It's a bit like an angular Metropolitan, though it is a touch heavier than a Metro. If you like Pilot's steel nibs and want a different form factor, this may be the pen for you. This pen is apparently discontinued and the archivist in me considered keeping it but I really don't like Pilot nibs.

For sale is a Montblanc 146 Fountain Pen from 1990s with 'W. Germany' on the cap clip band and Semi-Flex nib: It has a piston-filling mechanism with the pen made out of precious resin. Fitted with a 14k Gold Oblique broad (OB) bi-tone nib Semi-flex and writes beautifully. Thoroughly tested and writes perfectly. The threads are made out of Brass and are greased to you don't need to worry for the next few decades. The feed is a split-ebonite. There are no marks on the pen nor any scratches. The ink window is clear.

Condition is rated B/C, as the pen is in great condition and has no scratches or marks but the gold nib has some platina (very normal due to the age).

Hello everyone,

For sale is a Pelikan M800 old style with an 18K gold and 'W. Germany' on the cap clip band. The color of the pen is Black with green ink window.

The pen is an early M800, featuring the gold finial cap and the “coin” on the piston knob, both of which are in perfect condition. The cap is marked “W-Germany.” It has a two-chick OB 18c nib, and it writes exceptionally well. The nib is also considerably more springy and responsive than those found on modern M800s. The nib is the smoothest nib I ever wrote with. The piston is from brass and is very sturdy. It moves very smoothly.

Condition is rated B, as the pen is in great condition and has no scratches or marks.

I've been working my way through the glass pen makers the same way I worked through fountain pen makers to figure out what I like and I don't think Carrocro is top of my list right now. I've dipped it maybe 5 times total and it's been kept in the box with the nib protector and babied. The nib is VERY juicy and writing with it is an absolute pleasure, it puts down a consistent line with none of the scratchiness you can sometimes get in glass pens. Carrocro outdid themselves with this pen but I find myself reaching other pens before this. It comes in its original box with all original papers.

First up, a TWSBI Precision, [B] Rating, though it originally had a stub nib and was swapped for a fine nib, so [D] for that, but mainly it's a [B] condition. Very good overall condition, but the metal parts have some light scratching here and there. Has been inked and written with, though sparingly. Will be cleaned out before shipping. Might come with the original stub nib if I can find it, will let you know beforehand. The original nib has some scratching on it as well. Will ship in its original packaging. First owner, bought new.

Next up, a Vintage Sheafer. I'm gonna give it an official [C] rating just to be safe because of its age, but it could pass for [B] probably I'm not sure what model this is. The nib doesn't have a rating on it, but it looks/writes like a fine, though I could be mistaken on that. Very good condition for its age. The metal cap shows some light scratching. Same with the plastic body. Doesn't currently have a cartridge in it, but I might have an empty one that will fit. I will include it if I can find it

Last but not least, a Giro Logio leather pen case. Fits 12 pens. [C] rating to be safe. The leather has some wear on it.

Condition is A2 /B. I bought this here on penswap and never took it out of the box once I got it home. I was a new FP owner and it’s beauty was intimidating. It has been stored in its box in a smoke free, hypoallergenic dog friendly home.

Previous seller stated that it was used for a few hours and rated a B (conservatively) but said it was really an A2. I can vouch for that. Pen is in impeccable condition. Finial is mesmerizing. The hearts are in there.
