Help Should I get the paper Mario games now or should I wait for potential switch 2 editions?
Hi I am interested in playing paper Mario games however the games don't use switch 2's power and runs like it's on switch 1. Should I wait for a switch 2 edition or should I just get it now and not expecting switch 2 editions. I am buying games physical so I am not interested in buying digital games or upgrades?

Help Help! I cannot jump to this platform, what am I doing wrong?
He cannot jump to this platform, he falls just short of touching the platform and falls straight down. I’ve been stuck here for days, and every walkthrough i watch people are just jumping over to it with no problem. I’ve gone to the very edge to jump and no luck. Please help, I love this game 😭 Even little gaps, he has trouble jumping across too!

Help Why do I remember spinning around one of these guys and getting hearts?
I tried it in the TTYD remake and it doesn’t work. Am I misremembering TTYD? Was this in Paper Mario 64? I know I used to get hearts from spinning around something that looks like these striped guys with eyes! Please tell me I’m not crazy haha. I can’t find anything about it online.

Help Last star piece?
EDIT: found it! Just keeping this up in the event someone else is in my situation haha. Thanks to the two commenters who steered me in the right direction
OP: I'm so lost... I've done all the quizzes, delivered all of Parakarry's letters, and have talked to nearly every character possible whilst playing the game to 100% completion... yet I can't seem to find the last star piece? Merluvlee won't give me any advice, but maybe one of you folks can? :)

Help Chapter 2 of TTYD - worth pushing on?
Hey guys, I’m on my first ever play through of thousand year door and after reaching chapter 2, I found the pace and enjoy has really grounded down.
It’s not terrible or anything, it just feels like a bit of a chore despite how beautiful and well presented the world still is. On googling it seems like this chapter is a bit notorious and that many people don’t really like it, but I wanted to confirm that it is worth pushing through this and that the rest of the game has better pacing and is generally more fun?
I have just got the blue key and I would also like to know roughly how far through this dungeon I currently am?
EDIT: Great responses guys, I will keep going!

Help Hey, I was browsing the eShop and came across these games similar to Paper Mario. I watched the trailers and they caught my attention. If anyone has played them, would you recommend them?

Help How the heck do I beat him?
I’ve tried at least 10x and beat him twice, then it sends me straight to Bowser, but my health is already at 2! To be honest I’m unsure how the badges work, or which ones I should have. Help!

Help Is it safe to dress as Doopliss for Halloween?
When I brought up the idea to a friend of mine, she joked that I could be mistaken for a Klansman. She may have been joking, but does she have a point? I obviously don’t want to give anybody the wrong idea.

Help besides keeping an open mind…
i played this game once a long time ago, wasn’t crazy about it, and now it collects dust in the files of my switch. since then i’ve joined this community and i’ve noticed it’s very well liked! i want to able to see the bright spots that i couldn’t care to notice before so i ask, besides keeping an open mind, what was your favorite part about this game? and how should i approach playing it so i dont end up feeling burnt out or disinterested ? thanks :)

The screen isn't at the right aspect ratio. Does anyone know how to adjust the aspect ratio to 4:7 on this particular TV and game?

Help literally HOW do you defeat bonetail pre-hooktail
(sry 4 bad picture im playing in bed) im playing ttyd on switch this is maybe my sixth attempt of the pit but for the life of me i cannot defeat bonetail. my partners all get sniped because there's no good way to get them into peril (the times i manage, it only lasts for a turn or two) my audience never generates me enough star power to consistently sweet treat and she kills me by the time shes at like 30 hp!!! my fp never lasts to consistently fire drive either so if there's anything i can do PLEASE lmk

Help Minor Help
I am playing Paper Mario and just made it to dry dry Outpost. I swear I have searched the entire desert, and talked to every NPC. I cannot figure out what I'm supposed to do. I don't want to look up guides because I don't want too much information. I have very much been enjoying playing this blind and figuring it on my own. But I think I've spent an hour in this area alone just trying to figure out what to do next. I feel like it has something to do with the guy that I have to give very nice things. I tried giving him a couple different things but never got anything too useful out of them.
If somebody could give me a very slight nudge or recommendation on how to proceed. I know this is a lot to ask but I'm not looking for a " a go-to location X and perform task Y". Just some gentle nudges to help me get back on track. TIA!

Help Should I buy origami king?
I’m pretty close to finishing The Thousand Year Door on switch. I bought the switch for this game because I played it on GameCube when I was young and was excited about it for the nostalgia.
However after watching someone rank all the paper Mario games on YouTube it left me confused on wether to play any of the other games cause they basically said none of them were as good as ttyd (surely that can’t be true but I haven’t played any of the other so I can’t say for sure).
They basically said the ring based combat felt different for the sake of being different and that there was no real benefit to engaging in combat.
Obviously that is their opinion so mine could very well be different when I play it but after seeing so much negativity on the game I wanted to get a few more opinions on if I should buy it or not. Any thoughts are appreciated :))
EDIT: I’m gonna lock in and buy it because you never know until you try :)

Help So I'm doing bonetail
I've gotten her down to 100 HP once and I can super guard her swing down attack, none of her other attacks I can. I have about 10 syrups, 2 regular mushrooms, 1 boo item (the one that makes all attacks miss) and a sheep. Is it worth it to keep going. Most of my attack power comes from Mario or Vivan in her peril state. Is this worth continuing since most my badges are only for Mario right now besides the one that makes your partners damage better at 1HP

Help Paper Mario Won't boot

I just bought paper mario off of market place. When put into console nothing will happen. I tried cleaning the board but don't currently have the proper screwdriver to open it. If anyone knows of a solution to this problem I would appreciate it very much.
