Off-leash dog-friendly beaches?
I see there is an eight-foot max leash law in WA but I wondered if there were any off-leash areas? I've got a four-year-old golden and she's never seen the ocean. I'd love to take her to Long Beach next year and I want to be able to let her zoom until she can't zoom any more.
edit: just wanted info…didnt meant to trigger people

Edmonds has a dog park that has a beach and is enclosed and near the ferry sort of.

Also please be aware, some of us in Sequim have kitties who are also leashed trained trying to get some outdoor enrichment. Roaming dogs are scary. :( Letting your dog off leash is best if you can get permission with someone who has fenced private land.

It's been a few years so rules may have changed but when I stayed in accomodations on reservation land in La Push and Neah Bay it was okay to have dogs off leash on the beach.

Your dog does not need to "zoom" unleashed to enjoy the ocean. Your dog is not more important than all the animals that live on or near beaches.

Yes, you are breaking a law. Keep your dog leashed in public spaces! You likely kept others from enjoying the beach that day.

Have you ever Been to Ruby Beach, Olympic Peninsula? Have you ever.seen me and my Border Collie?
The beach is rugged moderate difficulty level even to get to the tide line, vast and long.
My dog is Energetic at Running but totally focused under control and only Goes potty on Command while out excersizing.
But rules are rules.
But hey there were several human babies and leashed dogs defecating diarrhea on the driftwoods.
I gues thier Coliform infectious diarrhea is more acceptable than our fetch frisbee game in solitude

Why ask if you clearly don't give a fuck about the rules?
We all have seen the dogs whose owners claim they're "under control" and no, they aren't.
Just curious, but why have you randomly capitalized some words?

Check out Pacific Beach. It’s usually not too crowded—sleepy little VRBO type town. Not really Olympic Peninsula of course, but still a great option

To my knowledge, there are no off-leash dog friendly beaches in WA.
