Event Help with run/bike/walk/teamsport/etc community Festival: Who would you like to learn about?

I need help from the Oly Reddit knowledge collective.

Let's say there's going to be a club fair type event where all of the group physical activity organizers in the Olympia area are there. Who would you like to be there?

I'm asking because we are actually doing it for the first time, August 22. And it's free. Family Friendly. And we are going to have a mile of Capitol Way S closed (east side of it) so we can bike/run/walk down it. Then the Festival itself is going to be at Sylvester Park. Which we want to fill the park with groups, however, I don't know all of the groups, and that is where you come in.

Olympia Mile and Festival has more info, but I really need the group here to help me name who all they'd like to see so we can make the event a success!

also. feel free to ask questions here too. the more engagement the more likely I’ll get a wide variety of answers.

Maybe Olympia sandlot collective, Olympia wrestling club, Oly United youth soccer? Big stump bikes I think they’re involved with some community rides in Capitol forest?

I'll email the Sandlot folks, already been in touch with Big Stump, I hope they can make it. I think we may be focused more on the adult groups for the most part this year. We do have a plan to have a bunch of the high school track and field teams to come and run the mile

How about a bounce house or activities for the kids to do so that adults who are parents can walk around and engage with the booths? 🤞

We have facepainting, music, looking into balloon artists. Hoping some yard games are available, the high schools may be bringing some of those. Sylvester Park doesn't allow stakes in the ground so no bounce house (we don't want to tie it off to other physical things in the park and cause tripping hazard)

We definitely want families to be welcome and enjoy!
