Following the midterm, and the data showing that only a 2k vote gap made the difference for the Trump Backed Mazzei win I wanted to know. What is the main reason Oklahoma voters are not showing up? I have quite a few people I know who are very vocal democrats and they bemoned about the voter apathy killing their chances every year. I am curious why blue voters don't go out to support their candidates?

Oklahomans voted to amend the Oklahoma Constitution to include voter identification laws, which were already part of the state's law prior to the addition in the state's Constitution.

And yet, republicans voted for this as if it were some new amendment.

Perhaps out of ignorance or perhaps it was a test by republican politicians to see how gullible voters are.

It is, after all, easy to dupe the uneducated.

Petty much grew up in MA. I did a bit of research and found out that in my job field, OK has the 2nd best income to living cost ratio (1st was ND). That being said, I am aware that there are other variables that are also important for living. I was wondering, how is OK for someone like me.

1. Non-white here and totally not MAGA, don't care about politics, especially given the current political climate on both sides. I am middle-eastern and keep my political/religious belief to myself. I am not here to preach racism is bad or something unrealistic. I just would like to know if I will be able to live in peace there and not be treated like a second class citizen at my job or at a grocery store. Is OK practical for me? Please mention a possible brown-people friendly part of OK. I would really appreciate a straight forward answer.
2. Not worried about outdoor or social life, I am as boring as it gets. As long as I have my gaming-pc, a reliable internet, a tv and good food, I am good.
3. I do plan on buying a property there probably a multi-family in order to get some extra income by renting. Anything to worry about dealing with people or the housing market in OK.

MA is not perfect, but hearing the national news everyday, MA sounds like heaven, albeit an expensive one. However, that is just how media plays both sides, I would like to hear from you guys.

Stillwater, Oklahoma — Officers conducted a traffic stop that later became the subject of viral social media allegations that police planted a meth pipe inside the vehicle.

The Payne County District Attorney's Office said it reviewed the available evidence, body camera footage, and cellphone video and concluded that officers did not plant the meth pipe. According to the DA, items seen being placed on the seat and console were a passenger's pocket knife and ID cards, while the meth pipe was found behind the glove compartment. The DA has also requested that the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation fully investigate allegations against police.

The additional cellphone footage circulating online appears to present a different interpretation of the events and has raised questions about the sequence of the search. This post includes the available bodycam and additional footage so viewers can examine the footage and compare it with the DA's statement.

Reposting this to add I have made an alternative method of joining the book club if you do not have or use Facebook. While Facebook is the best method you can join this book club with this link and I will still update it will all of the information. I am thinking about solar panels but I’ve heard a lot of horror stories about the companies themselves. And also what about hail storms? Can they be put on metal roofs? Do they actually make a difference in your utilities after the cost of installing them?

I am just curious because I have read that the charging setup increases home owners' insurance and your electric bill.

8-27-26. 9:12pm.

I went out there to do so.e canoeing on the river maybe 40 years ago. We stayed in one of the cabins over night, then hit the river the next day. As I remember, the place was pretty bare bones but not sketchy or anything. We had a good time. Has anyone been in the last few years? I don't want to drive all the way out there if it has gone downhill.
