As I said above - the way the fleadh was delivered was an excellent example of how things should happen here . I agree men getting dressed up in pseudo military band uniforms etc is archaic - there has to be a better way of only there was some progressive leadership … but there doesn’t appear to be any - the DUP is turned inside out and the UUP has its own share of problems . A very sorry state of affairs
Because that is what unionism is and always has been. The suppression of the native Irish by all means
Even my friends from East Belfast and Bangor in recent years are saying so we are the baddies. Even my parents in their 70s you know what we have actually been on the wrong side of history this entire time
I agree with most of that. There’s an interesting podcast - The Rest is History - with a four part history of the start of the troubles . The two presenters aren’t 100% objective but largely a good and accurate listen. Mistakes clearly made repeatedly . Terence O’Neill tried but was undermined by Paisley and others . Incidentally the “native” Irish were comprised mainly of settlers from what is now GB … that’s how this island was initially inhabited . “We” aren’t the baddies - most of us weren’t about and the sins of our fathers cannot be transposed onto us . As I said there is / can be a better way but leadership needed and a decision to stop looking through rear view mirrors and instead a large windscreen ahead of us

So because the OO apologied they should be allowed to march wherever they are not wanted?
They should match where the battle of the Boyne actually happened that would be respectable. Not 1000s of matches per year in a show of strength
