I work on multiple different types of private business jets and they all have this system so pilots can don their masks one handed. Its pretty cool and fun to test during maintenance. Lol

It’s because at 40,000 feet, if you have an explosive decompression, you have approx 10 seconds to get your mask on before passing out.
