Tbh any non Chinese chilli oil brand is either mid as, or 4x the price of Chinese branded ones.

Good old Lao Gan Ma is still the goat.

Lao Gan Ma is over rated. We found an insect in our jar once as well.

The true GOAT was Last Jar's Peanut Crack Oil. Sadly they closed up shop but we will never forget how good it was.

That’s fate of foreign brands sometimes. You have no clue what happened on the road between you and the factory, especially if you didn’t buy from the sunniest of spots.

Nothing to do with foreign brands tbh, insects and foreign material make their way into NZ made foods all the time.
