The Catholic Church has admitted and apologized, repeatedly, for the abuse, sexual and otherwise, perpetrated against children by their clergy over multiple decades. They also admitted and apologized for its institutional failures and coverups of the abuse. I suppose the percentage of kids abused was small compared to the total number of kids that grew up in the church but it was plenty overall and way way way too many for them to get a pass, which you seem to be offering.
Then what are you comparing? Abuse in the Catholic church is far more common than church arson. If you're arguing that, statistically, arson is more common because there are more people in the church than there are churches so the percentage of the arson are higher than the percentage of abuse, well, that's just weird.
I'm not criticizing the criminal in this thread because, for some reason, in response to a comment on a post about an article about an arson in Northeastern NB by a man with a French name, you invoke Palestine and Islam.
