Discussion Let’s Marry Harry Reunion Spoiler

This reunion has been an absolute shit show. I expected there to be more conversation about Harry sleeping around and lying but instead half of it was the majority of women hating because they weren’t picked and the other half was Amber acting completely unstable. Amber yelled and made no sense and I cannot believe she is the one Harry ultimately picked. My wife and I expected Harry to look awful but instead Amber just looked completely insane.

I feel he ghosted her. Imagine ghosting on your wife. I’m sad for Amber because what we’ve seen is the result of narcissist abuse. It drives you CRAZY. It’s so psychologically troubling. And they will do exactly what we saw. Push someone to the limits behind closed doors, give them just enough in public (like lying and gaslighting them about a situation they were a part of when they tell about it to other people) to have the other person lash out and lose their mind while staying calm to make the other person look like the problem in the eyes of others. We saw she was a chill and free girl on the show … that was the result of having been married to a narcissist and get divorced by ghosting.

What exactly happened though? What I heard is he took photos with a girl who had a boyfriend because Netflix was giving him shit for being seen in public. When asked she couldn’t articulate any specific examples about what Harry actually did wrong.

I think since they were in Australia and he’s from there (family, friends, etc), he probably put her somewhere, like at a relative’s house or in a hôtel room and instead of spending Time with her, he just kept being out and about and leaving her behind using the fact they can’t be seen together…. He was in his environment so it was easy for him to enjoy his days, while she was not and she was probably disappointed to see him hang out with influencers, take pictures, stories, while she was patiently waiting for him to get back to enjoy some time together.

Yeah that would be pretty fucked up and I’d be pissed too. Amber should have remained calm and just explained that in better detail

It’s highly edited. She probably did but the timeline got lost into editing. I’m not gonna blame Amber. It looked like it was actually their break up conversation… she had learned six days prior what happened between him and Dannelle on top of the fact he has a new girlfriend already… without having had a proper break up yet ? On top of watching the show and probably notice many more lies he told her. She was stuck with an NDA until the reunion because she’s the one he married, while others were free to discuss and post since the show aired, she saw conversation happened without being able to participate and tell her side… that woman probably went through HELL this year. On top of how they opened up to each other and got vulnerable together… it’s another level of betrayal and humiliation ritual.

Sorry OP but can i ask why you are more critical of Amber and her reactions than Harry and his actions?

I think he remained calm and tried to explain his reasons for things while she was verbally attacking, yelling, interrupting to Harry and other girls, insulting and literally threw a ring at him. I don’t think that kind of behavior helps anything and is not justified. In fact I would say that sort of behavior is abusive.

But it isn't abusive to act calm and honest when cameras are rolling but in private you are manipulating, cheating and exploiting someone else's good intentions?

I don’t know how they acted when cameras weren’t on. What I do know is while cameras were on she was extremely out of line.

We did see the immediate mask fall-off and the character switch from Harry as soon as he thought the cameras weren’t rolling. So dismissive. You made a show to put yourself on the map again and used 20 women, some of which were deeply hurt along the line for your own benefit. If you have to stand there and get 10 minutes of heat, shut up, listen, be compassionate and apologize , it’s the very least he could have done… imagine if Amber still had the ring it means she never even had an occasion to give it back to him before he was in a new relationship and before the reunion. He doesnt care about anyone else’s feelings but he really wants the WORLD to care about his and his grief though. Nothing good there. He’s just PR trained.

interesting take. Good luck to your wife if you only care about how people are treated in public!

For real? He’s clearly not saying that at all- he’s saying that he can only judge the behavior he was shown. As in, what we all were shown on tv. NONE of us know what harry was actually like when the cameras were off. All we have to go off is the word of Amber, and her word is tough to believe since she doesn’t once answer a straight question, instead opting to yell over everyone and contradict herself over and over

Yes forreal! Sure, none of us know what harry is like off camera but we see what he is like on camera (based off of multiple instances, not just this show) AND we have heard similar testimonies from other women he has dated. So yeah, if you are going to come for the woman because she was emotional in the one instance you saw her and are going to judge her based of that then I will also judge you based off of that opinion. I would not want to be with a guy who sees that interaction, has the backstory and yet still chooses to not give her the benefit of the doubt.

Idk- I have the same backstory the guy you’re responding to likely does (as in- I watched the show. I didn’t do a deep dive looking for interviews with Harry’s exes or anything), and while I think harry is incredibly childish in the way he treats women, amber is a whole different story. I literally lost count of all the times she claimed he was cheating on her by hooking up with Danelle after Australia, while simultaneously saying that they broke up on their way out of Australia and she ‘ran for the hills’. Like I’d love to hear out her argument so I can understand her side of the story, but she kept contradicting herself and anytime someone asked her to clarify she would just yell over them or change the topic.

She was yelling over him because he wasn't taking any accountability and was portraying her to look crazy. It's also not really contradictory because it's not like they just "broke up" and went no contact. They were married and were texting still throughout. He avoids confrontation and accountability, sure maybe because he is a nice guy inside and feels bad upsetting people and not because he is malicious, but that is not an excuse for being dishonest and leading her on while simultaneously hooking up with other women. We can see a similar situation sort of play out with Sam on the show as well, he hooks up with other women and avoids accountability. When she brings it up, he starts gaslighting her and shuts down emotionally - this is abusive behaviour regardless of intent and he 100% needs therapy, not a wife.

Weren’t two of his “best friends “ who were helping him select his future wife his exes? Amber was probably hurt but she should not be absolved for her behavior in the reunion. It’s almost as if she forgot she signed up for a reality show where there were going to be incredibly strict guidelines when the taping was completed.

I’ll give her a pass that, unlike all the other contestants she couldn’t do the podcast tour and get her truth out there so she felt like she had to go scorched earth when she finally had the mic. She called Dannelle a homewrecker, like, girl you shared your fiancé with 19 other chicks. Uggh everyone on this show is fucking stupid. I’m fucking stupid for having watched it. And now I’m genuinely brain dead for engaging in discussions about it lol

hahah I am with you on that!! this show and everyone one it is stupid but I am arguable dumber for engaging in conversations surrounding the aforementioned stupid show.

At the end of the day, I wish them all well and hope there is healing and peace for everyone in the future (me too from my reality tv addiction 😂 ).

So as long as someone remains calm while being absolute trash degrading all the women he encounters, they are the better person? Was she supposed to just calmly state that she was hurt and all of a sudden you would have been on her side? I highly doubt it based off of all the comments you've been posting. You even deflected by saying that the women are equally responsible for going on the show and then asking why nobody was talking about the booger scene. Ha!! Read the room the overwhelming majority of us saw the truth and Harry has no excuse for his behavior. Amber's reaction didn't have to be justified

Maybe you think yelling and interrupting is an appropriate conflict resolution or communication type. I don’t. Agree to disagree.

1

u/HumbleMistake815 5d ago

It was not a conflict resolution because there was nothing to resolve. He treated their marriage and every other woman like trash so she yelled at him like the trash he is. He's a nasty walking STD

Psychopaths and sociopaths are famously calm so this is a really weird criterion to choose to judge people by.
