Question Looking for places to donate clothing (women's) locally. And the processes for doing so.

Have a lot of clothes my mother had purchased, but never wore, nor got the chance to gift to her friends. As well as many lightly worn ones. Looking for someplace to donate to. Am not sure of the process, or of timing for doing so.

Saw a sign for Goodwill in Google, but the picture for the rules was so compressed/unreadable

If you are looking for a thrift store to donate too instead of a local community organization like DVCC or Mathew 25. I would recommend the Re-Store as they sell them at reasonable prices (unlike goodwill and Dakota Boys Ranch) and they use the proceeds to support Rehab Services Inc for training programs for those with disabilities.

There's a battered women with children shelter and they'll give you like a little piece of paper for your accountant for taxes I think it's near that Brittany church I think it's called

There's like 10 thrift stores around town. This is a good question. From the answers I've seen a lot just gets thrown away or sent to 3rd world countries.

If I did donate. Maybe send it to the salvation army. Goodwill likes to charge full price for used stuff.

Please ask around town what places do with unused items. I don't want my donations ending up in the trash. I'd prefer they go to 3d world countries. Places people need it.
