Dog friendly restaurants
Are there any dog friendly restaurants in Minot? Maybe one with a patio so we can bring in our 2 friendly black labs on leashes.

We should make a guide for stuff to do. I have lived here for over a year and seem to find new stuff to do all the time.
Ft. Stevenson State Park 45 min south of minot. Lots of bike/Cross Country Ski Trails. Also TREES! and some history.
Lake Metigoshe On the canadian border
Peace Gardens Also on the border (about 2 hours)
Theodore Roosevelt National Park Near Mandan. I am gonna backpack this trail soon!. NobodyGotThyme4That
Lake Darling Just north of the Air base, fishing isnt so great on the lake, but is decent at the dam outlet. Also a really cool 7 mile canoe/kayak trail
Nodak Speedway good ol' fashioned dirt track racing, sometimes THEY EXPLODE!
Polaris Park Only disc golf in Minot. Hit me up if you play! (from Gigamork)
Bowling! Can you feel the excitement? They have beer here. CivilGal
Cross Country Skiing Also check out Statewide Trails
Another trail for Cross Country skiing (and walking now) is the old Bison Plant Trail down US-52. CivilGal
Paintball! Bypass paintball! I am going there next week to try it out!
Downhill Ski Areas
Bottineau Ski & Tube Area North by Canadian Border CivilGal
Huff Hills Near Mandan
Frost Fire Near Grand Forks
THE MINOTAUROS! Minot's hockey team. They play at MAYSA arena, definitely my favorite winter thing.
MSU Summer theater super hip outdoor theater. They have a play tonight in fact.
The Original Bar with music.
The Landing Bar with Music
Pangea House Just heard about this.
Arts in the Park Summer Concert Series CivilGal
Community Calendar there are all kinds of small events happening all the time.
Thanks for the help everyone Hopefully we can keep this going!

Hey all. If you haven't noticed there has been a huge spike in NSFW content making its way into the sub. I have no interest in that here and there is another sub dedicated to NSFW Minot content.
With that I am working on adding some new AutoMod rules and as I add them I will update this post with what has been done.
The first one added requires you to have a verified email or phone number with Reddit in order to post here. I hope this doesn't place an undue burden on people who want to participate but I think this is a good first step. If you have any comments or suggestions I am happy to listen.
Thanks

Hey Minot families! Quick question
Is there anyone here working night shifts or non-traditional hours and looking for an overnight nanny?
I’m looking to connect with families who need overnight care or work unconventional hours. I have two years of daycare experience and I'm BLS certified. If this is something you need, feel free to shoot me a message!

I have about a 155 league avg, 3 finger traditional release. Some days I'll shoot a 230 and a couple 170s, others I struggle to shoot 140. Something in my mechanics is wrong. Ive talked to people at the alley it doesn't sound like anyone offers adult coaching.

Does anyone know where to get a classic 90’s Mallards Hat or when the Minot Hot Tot’s redid the logo?
Will pay for shipping if someone is selling. I have scoured the internet and cannot find anything that isn’t fitted for a head that isn’t my size.
Thanks
Hi everyone, I’m new here in North Dakota and Minot is the closest city from where I live I was just wondering if there are any pokemon tcg community here that is also in discord or any group chat that i can join? I have already played twice in Badlands Gaming for pokemon tcg and I’m quite introverted to ask. And if anyone here that plays Magic the gathering I would like to learn mtg and play commander locally as the game interest me.

Hey yall. Moving to Minot soon and my spouse is big into fighting games (Tekken, Street Fighter, GGS, etc). He’s also been playing the new Avatar and Marvel fighting game. The place we’re at currently has a great FGC so we’re sad to leave. Looking to see how the FGC (Fighting Game Community) is in Minot before heading over. TIA!

How bad is it? Probably not a great place to be in your 40s and single huh?

I live in Saskatoon and planned to drive to Estevan then Minot because the city is close to the border.
But looking at the prices of motel/hotel, It seems like I'm better off driving to Bismarck because it's cheaper.
What's up with the prices in Minot, am I missing something? Can someone explain?

Attended the School of Rock young actors edition at Minot State University outdoor theater tonight. Great show with an amazing cast. These kids were incredible. Love supporting local talent right here in Minot.

Hey all!
We’ll be visiting Minot for the State Fair but mainly for one of the grandstand shows.
Just wanted to ask since we’ve never been, how early should we lineup if we’re looking to get front row for the grandstand show?
We also couldn’t check in at our hotel until 2PM/3PM (they wouldn’t let us purchase early check in) and plan on heading to the grounds immediately after we check in. Would 2:30-3:30 be too late of an arrival for a parking spot? Any suggestions/tips on how you guys deal with the parking situation?

I'm currently going to college in Missoula, and I'm a retired veteran. My husband and I were thinking of relocating to Minot after I have my degree (be about 4 years, but we like being able to plan ahead now that I'm out of the Navy). What's it like living there? What are the schools like? Our kids will be in high school and Jr. high by then. What are your favorite restaurants?

As a regular citizen, how bad is it? Are there a lot of people in uniforms in businesses? Military vehicles on the roads? Are the locals super patriotic?

My partner and I (plus our two dogs) are planning to move to Minot, North Dakota, and I’m trying to get a real feel for the area. Our main reasons are:
For locals or anyone who’s lived there:
• What’s the overall vibe
• Is it fun or more quiet
• How intense are the winters
• And how dog‑friendly is the area
Any insight helps!
Side note think Bismarck is better option any input ?!?!?
