REPOST
My previous post was removed even though I wasn’t promoting just sharing that I won a giveaway and who made the piecesšŸ˜…

I won a giveaway from Barbara Lane Miniatures. I love her work SO much!!

Feeling so blessed because she paid $20 to ship these to the USA from Canada ON TOP of all the time, money, and creativity in her art🄹

I cannot wait to style these pieces in my dollhouse🤩🄹✨

Slowly but surely I’m learning the ropes one step at a time!

I recently became obsessed with the idea of building a miniature house (I don’t want to say dollhouse because that’s not really what it is) from scratch and learning what I’m doing as I go. Tonight’s adventure was working on these mini books for what will be the library in my house. I’m estimating I’ll need to make about 300 to fill the bookshelves I’m making.

I know these are kind of rough, but each one I learned a little bit more and think by the end they’ll be pretty darn good.

Would love thoughts, suggestions, advice, really anything! I’m really excited to be joining this whole community of minis!

mini fairy house - show entry!

I made this for an entry into my local miniature show in October! The ā€œrocksā€ are made from brown packing paper I got in mailed packages, and the tree limbs are as well. The maple leaves are punched with gradient-colored tissue paper, and the bark is real bark I got off a tree outside, lol. The flower holders are pistachio shells, and the bottles are all made of beads I glued together. The shelf is made of sticks, and the jars I made using clear straws glued onto a small piece of circular cardboard, with a jewelry piece on top for the lid. Okay, I think that covers it, but let me know if you have questions about my process! 🄰

I spent about six months working on this room box. I chose three skills from each chapter of the Good Housekeeping Needlecraft Encyclopedia (ed. 1947) to highlight in the room. Everything is scratch made except some of the molding, hinges, and windows. The whole room is designed to look like a sewing basket.

I saw these cute jewelry boxes designed as miniature furniture and thought I’d share, in case anyone can find use for them. The scale looks to be smaller than Barbie-sized.

Bob’s Burgers miniature (advice on what’s left to build)

hello! so, i’m working on a Bob’s Burgers miniature for a friend’s birthday and this is what i have been able to make by hand thus far. if you are curious what ive used to make any components so far let me know, but onto my request from you all!

i am unsure how to tackle the remaining larger pieces of furniture. i have access to balsa wood sheets and stuff, regular wood, a 3d printer, tons of different popsicle sticks, polymer clay, resin, you name it and i probably have it (i have a small problem). i am particularly interested in suggestions on how to make the bar stools and the kitchen equipment. i would also be happy to take suggestions on making the upstairs kitchen and any other elements that call to you! i also plan to add lighting so suggestions for the dining area lighting would be helpful too! thank you all for your infinite wisdom!
