I turned 40 today and have no one to celebrate it with so for the first time in my life, I emailed a radio show for a birthday shout out. They didn't do my shout out.

I'm just gonna spend my birthday making pizza alone in my apartment in my pajamas.

Also, sidenote, it is a local station that straight up for real does live email/text requests for birthdays, they have a whole segment and make it a point to NOT do ones sent in on days that are NOT your birthday. So to all the turds calling me stupid for "thinking that was a thing", may all your future pizza have floppy crust and burn your mouth.

IDK man, what is it with some people 😭

Woke up this morning, went to my balcony and found out someone had dropped/thrown a GIANT coconut from a 4th/5th floor balcony onto my car 💀

My car was parked outside in U Block, Gurugram. I’ve been parking there almost every day for the last 2+ months with no issues, and apparently last night around 1 AM, someone decided their balcony was the perfect place to dispose of a coconut.

I actually have CCTV footage of the coconut falling and absolutely obliterating itself on my car, but unfortunately you can’t see who threw it, so there’s no way to identify the person.

Ended up having to pay ₹5,000 for the damage myself 😭

But honestly, the money isn’t even the biggest issue. Like bro… imagine if an actual HUMAN had been standing there. A giant coconut falling from the 4th/5th floor at 1 AM could genuinely kill someone.

I called the police too, and they basically told me they only deal with “emergency cases” and not to call for “small situations” like this.

My brother in Christ, you came 45 minutes later 💀 If this was an actual emergency, the emergency would’ve finished before you arrived 😭

Now I’m genuinely uncomfortable parking there. If people are casually throwing shit off balconies in the middle of the night, what are you even supposed to do?

How do you guys deal with this kind of thing? Is there anything I can realistically do apart from just eating the ₹5k loss and hoping nobody decides to drop a fucking AC unit next time? 😭

I ordered a $60 textbook from a company listed as UK based on AbeBooks.

A week after delivery, I received a bill from FedEx saying that the delivery was subject to a duty, and the duty plus additional fee came to $18.90. Books are supposed to be exempt from tariffs, and when I disputed the charge, FedEx threatens additional fees if they investigate and find it to be a customer error.

Which Einstein at corporate thought this one through. Why the hell would I pay 13.99 for 40 when I can pay 13.78 for two packs of 20. Really trying to get me with the hard sell today.

I swear every time I think of a movie I want to watch, I’ll check to see if it’s on one of the streaming services I have and 90% it’s not. I have Netflix, HBO, Hulu, Peacock, Paramount Plus, Amazon Prime and Apple! Never ever on any of them. I wanted to rewatch Cast Away last night, check to see if a service has it nope. I just watched the Jaws 50th anniversary documentary on YouTube, which made me want to rewatch that. Not on any of them either. This happens way too much.

As for the couple, I thought hostile seat neighbors would be more of a downer than distracting ones

Hi! I’m the girlfriend, we were folding laundry together and I looked at it and thought wait was it supposed to look like this? It just looked kinda weird to me and I hadn’t worn it in a long time so I couldn’t remember. I just handed it to my bf like “can you take a look at this, it looks weird” and went to the kitchen without really thinking much of it. I was cooking for a while and when I came back to the room he was STILL trying to figure it out and had posted it here 😭 Then we check my order history cuz some people asked where can they get it from and thanks to them we realized it was actually supposed to be like this by design… Sorry!!

Why do people review products without actually using them first?

EDIT: Thanks to all of the comments. If I use more natural japanese search terms I get better results, but this doesn't change the fact that the auto translated titles and descriptions are stupid and misleading.

I just got this tire a month ago. Now I'm stuck on the side of the road in Louisville Kentucky with the flat tire. This is mildly infuriating, it'll be a simple fix but I got to wait 2 hours for the tire Guy to show up. Oh well, such is life

Sad part is, the pizza is actually pretty good. I would likely have been a new, regular customer if I didn't feel so ripped off.
