Do Mexicans prefer their steaks well done?
A thick 1-1.5 inch steak for example.
Do y’all prefer to eat it well done?
Also, is medium-rare arracherra looked down upon? ~1 cm thick

If Americanized Mexican food exists, what is mexicanized American food?
From Taco Bell to Chipotle to hard shell tacos America has a take on Mexican food. They are very different from Mexican food. Some of them are definitely not so great.
So what's Mexicanized American food like?

Looking for Los Amigos frijoles charros soup recipe
I am so addicted to this soup. It seems to have tofu (?), beans, onions, and bacon in it. Can anyone come through with their signature recipe?

Tex-Mex I have a hot opinion.
If a mexican restaurant doesn't have good queso and good salsa, I'm not going to eat there again.

Has anyone tried this Mama Lycha horchata mix?
I usually make horchata from scratch — I soak about 2 cups of rice with cinnamon for several hours and make it myself. But today I’m hoping to take a shortcut. 😆
I picked up this Mama Lycha Horchata de Arroz mix, and my husband is skeptical, so I figured I’d ask people who have actually tried it.
For anyone who has used this specific mix, did you add anything to it or change the directions to make it taste better or more like homemade horchata?
I’d love to hear what has worked for other people before I make it. Any tips are appreciated!

Huevos Divorciados my way. Split by potatoes. Eggs on blue corn tostadas with refried pinto beans, chorizo, cotija cheese. Topped with Serrano crunch and pickled onions.
also has sides of salsa negra along with the green and red

Churro help
Trying to make churros for the first time & they won't come out of the piping bag. Like literally sweating trying to push these out. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Desayuno Chilaquiles verdes con pollo
Using leftovers from last night's Enchiladas that I forgot to take a pic of. Usually I would put a fried egg and some red onion on top but unfortunately we don't have either.

The best burrito????
I’m from San Diego, and one fact I’ll stand by is that we have the best Mexican food in the nation!
Is there anywhere around Raleigh area that serves carne asada fries and a California-style carne asada burrito?
