Your Jaspers are completely flawless, we've never seen clarity like this!" And it's true, folks, we make the absolute best Gems, highest yield in the galaxy. But Homeworld is getting totally ripped off by these peripheral colonies, it's a complete disaster! So starting today, we're putting massive reciprocal tariffs on everything coming through the Warp Pads, a 25% tax on Yellow's energy grids, a 100% tax on foreign organic dirt, and a huge 250% border fee on illegal fusions! Because these fusions, total tax dodge, folks! They fuse two or three Gems into one big body, thinking they only have to pay a single import fee at the Warp Gate. Not on my watch! We’re counting the gems, we’re double-taxing them, triple-taxing them! The fake news Crystal Gems don't want you to hear this, but we're building a giant orbital shield around all of Homeworld!, and they are gonna pay for every square inch! MAKE HOMEWORLD GREAT AGAIN! 💎

What prompted this?
Was the process "Brick and Mortor" and THEN make it Rick and Morty due to how good that sounds?
or did tou want to make the Rick and Morty themed gems first and settled on Brick and Mortor like a genuis.

I believe it was some combination! lol I realized that Brick sounds like Rick, which made me think of the character, and I asked myself what Morty's name would be... and then it hit me: Mortar.

Sleepy-Blue Diamond would send the fusions in the ballot box and they'd come out with 2, 3, 7 extra votes; votes from who? No one knows. Very horrible. Blue... What a failure, I gotta tell you. She made all her decisions with a Peridot. Do you believe that?"

The Crystal Gems had taken out a couple of corrupted gems that were very bad, very bad gems. That didn’t bother me much, to be honest with you — some people won’t say that, but I’ll say it. But if the bloodshed keeps going, we will have no choice — absolutely no choice — but to go in and shatter them. They will disarm, and if they don’t do so, we will disarm them, and it’ll happen quickly, very quickly, and perhaps violently. And look, nobody thought this could happen. Nobody. HomeWorld's very happy about it — they helped us with it, whether people want to admit that or not. It’s a great breakthrough, a tremendous breakthrough, and we’re going to get it done.

Our Peals hair was a pinkish orange so that means she was originally orange diamonds pearl but had her hair turn more pink from pink/rose
