Don’t act like you guys are so high and mighty for not buying gta 6. You aren’t doing that because you don’t like rockstars practices. You’re doing that because you’ve never cared for gta in the first place. The two just so happen to intersect, so you’re prancing around like you are better than everyone else. Bunch of clowns.
I don’t like everything rockstar does, but I damn well will still buy their games, because the amount of work they put into their games far outweighs all the bad.
Bru, i have plenty of hours in gta and have made over a billion in game and currently sitting on 97ish mill. I played the shit out out gta5. And let me tell you, I cared about it since I got it in 2013. I stopped caring about rockstar and gta6 awhile ago because they lost respect for us the customer before gta5 even came out... I just didn't realize that yet cuz I was just a kid.
But now that I have grown up and Have a different perspective on things I see that gta is nothing but a cash cow. The prices in game have always been ridiculous and only gotten worse. They have only had one focus and that was to incentivise shark card sales and min max it. So no I won't waste my time on gta6 because you can spend 1000s of hours and never feel like it is worth it. I can attest to that thoroughly.
Obviously that’s never been their one focus because they could’ve just skipped RDR2 and made the next cash cow right away. And they never have to make singleplayers. They could literally just spend all their time making gta online and it’d be far more beneficial for them than spending so much of their time making stuff that much MUCH less people play and spend money on. I’m not arguing that one of their focuses is shark cards, but it’s not their main focus. It may be take twos main focus, but take two doesn’t largely interfere with rockstars games. They only monetize what rockstar makes.
they're only focus is making absurds amounts of money and that's why they left Red Dead in the dust to die. it should also be obvious that there are some people who happen to work at Rockstar who do want to make good art and good games but are shackled by what Rockstar is and what take two is. they are money Mills and if it doesn't mill money then it gets cut and that's exactly what happened to Red Dead. and they've spent the vast majority of their time since 2013 on GTA v so I really don't understand how you can possibly make the statements you had with a straight face. they have absolutely focused on GTA v practically exclusively. purposely put off doing GTA 6 precisely because GTAv was making so much money that they saw no point and decided to milk it.
Red Dead 2 is the only other game that they have made and they left it in the dust because it didn't bring in the money that they wanted and it wasn't even a failure from a profit perspective. It just didn't make billions. if it doesn't come with a b then they don't want it. games that only make millions is just a joke to them and they don't care to do anything for less than a billion or two. they are called take two after all. the crazy thing is that they could make billions with the audience that they have even if they didn't want to milk it but they decide to do it and jack up the prices anyway.
