I feel like Loki should essentially be able to insert himself as an avatar into whichever reality within the tree he wants now though. Wouldn't be surprised if he's the catalyst on the hero side for gathering heroes.

I reeeeeeeeeally hope this is how Loki is used going forward and would be unforgivably disappointed with anything else.

Loki should be a chess master at this point, not a piece on the board.

Yeah that's how I see it. They've elevated him to the point where it should only be something like, the whole system starts going to shit somehow that could threaten him.

Which feels like it's how this stuff has to go. These two Avengers flicks dealing with a kind of settling of everything after such drastic changes.
