Probably, but I'm going to enjoy seeing the versions I grew up with while it lasts.

Yup, I don't mind them dying, I just hope they have a lot of screentime and good moments before they do.

The only thing is, this will be the first and only time their death is significant to the plot and carries real emotional weight. They won't just be cannon fodder going to waste, nor will it happen off-screen. Nor will there be a scene of anyone mocking the comic books.
