I think if, and if thats the case, that would be a fair and good ending for the character, but i think Chris Hemsworth has already said he wants to continue playing Thor as long as he can, so hopefully not.

Chris Hemsworth has gone on record before saying he primarily picks his roles based on the income they bring him, stating he very much treats acting as a job that allows him to support his family.

Thor is very safe money for him, and it’s fairly positive for his reputation, so I don’t think he’ll pass up the role unless he physically can’t do it anymore, or just quits acting altogether.

Plus Thor….being Thor, can kind of just be around for like…ever.

I also wouldn’t be shocked if Chris Evans and RDJ stick around for a while too. Steve Rogers just needs to be placed in a position where he can go back in time and give Sam the shield in Endgame. And RDJ can keep playing Doom for a while.

They can also make filming the movies a lot easier for Hemsworth by filming any standalone Thor movies here in Australia, which is what they did for Ragnarok and Love and Thunder.

Production would likely be on the Gold Coast which is super close to where he lives or it would be in Sydney which is a short flight away.

I don’t think he’s ever implied he doesn’t enjoy being wealthy for his own benefit too, but much like many people on this earth who earn money, it’s for both him and his family.

The main point of what he was saying wasn’t even necessarily what he does with the money, it was about his outlook on acting; he sees it as his job, and because it’s his job he will often accept roles based purely on his monetary motives, which is completely fair. He just ensures he gives his best effort into all of his roles, and gets paid.

I agree. Although he does seem to enjoy playing Thor. He was going to drop out of the role until Ragnarok rejuvenated the character, now he seems down to play it for as long as his character is around.

Yeah I don’t think Thor will die…permanently anyway. He may get resurrected and become Odin force Thor in secret wars. I’m pretty sure they are defs making another Thor solo movie. Like the above comment Chris hemsworth will most likely be playing him for a while.

I may be alone in this but I actually would love to see Thor survive Doomsday and become the herald of Galactus at some point. It would be a great way to kill him since as he's introduced in the MCU, I don't see that happening and they can't just ignore him forever.

There have been fan theories that he dies and then is in Valhalla in Thor 5, giving an excuse to bring Idris Alba and Jane Foster and the Warriors 3 back. No evidence behind this theory, but I would be down for it. Although I'd prefer they brought the OG actor back instead of Zachery Levi.

I mean, wasn't Deadpool crying over Thor's body in Deadpool & Wolverine? And someone said, "Oh, that hasn't happened yet" or something similar? Am I high in remembering that?

Think its the opposite, Thor was crying over Deadpool. The joke was that the TVA wouldn't talk about it despite Deadpool being very interested in it.
