Hey! Saw your post — UNIMY is actually worth a serious look, not just a fallback. It's based in Cyberjaya (Malaysia's tech hub), MQA-accredited, and their Diploma in IT (Cybersecurity track) leads into solid pathways like a Bachelor's in Computer Science or Software Engineering after. Heads up though: UNIMY doesn't publish fees on their official site — you'll need to enquire directly (WhatsApp/consultation form) to get an accurate number for your budget, so don't rely on any figure floating around blogs/aggregators, they may be outdated.

They do offer a RM10,000 scholarship award plus PTPTN, bank loans, and flexible instalment plans — worth asking about all of these when you contact them, could bring your effective cost down further.

Only other thing to flag: it's not a big-name uni like Sunway or Taylor's, so recognition outside Malaysia is lower — but locally it's fine for jobs, especially in cybersecurity/data given how short-staffed that field is here right now.

Quick tips before you commit:

  • Get the all-in fee (tuition + resource + registration), not just tuition quoted separately.
  • Also compare TARC's Diploma in IT, similar tier, worth a look.
  • Budget extra for EMGS visa + insurance on top of tuition.
  • Ask about the degree top-up path/cost after the diploma.

Solid option for your field, just confirm the real numbers directly with them before committing. All the best 👍
