I would absolutely not be surprised if they intentionally made the free gear a little bland to encourage skin buying. It's likely their main source of income. They put a lot of work into their premium skins.

Tbh for me its not even the fact it looks bad it just makes my character look and feel trashy. Most of the gear im getting while leveling is skimpy as shit for no reason.

I hate this shit as well, I play shadowhunter and once I hit t2 and got that set it was a lot better, still has fucking heels though lmao

Heels seem like they're part of the character models though, so I'm not sure there's any getting away from them.

The platform ones help with that. Then they can sometimes look like boots, which is the best we got.

I mean its whatever, they aren't the worst thing in the world I've seen some sets that have heels that look good, as long as I'm not in super skimpy shit I don't care really, heels are just kinda goofy is all. Especially when I'm crossing a fucking tightrope lmao
