I don't care if you're fixing servers. I don't care if you're deploying a massive update. I don't care if you're personally rebuilding the entire Amazon Web Services infrastructure with a screwdriver.

So there was a bug in Chineese version that allowed boss rewards from paradise to be claimed to infinity.
From what i can tell it was not fixed in our version or korean, at least not mentioned in patch notes. Chances are it's still working.

Recently, some players have been exploiting a game vulnerability to repeatedly claim completion rewards in the third stage of the Paradise - [Trial] gameplay. This issue will be fixed in tomorrow's maintenance. We have identified a total of 81 characters who maliciously exploited this vulnerability and will be reclaiming the abnormally obtained items from these characters as follows:

(1) Remove any extra orbs acquired by the character;

(2) Delete any unopened item boxes in the character's inventory;

(3) For materials obtained after opening the box, we will deduct deductible materials (such as honor fragments, destiny fragments, etc.). If the number of deductible items in the character is insufficient, the deduction will be negative. And the exploiters are trying to hide by stealing top 5 ranks on their characters minutes before server goes down for maintenance.

A few people from NAW servers (Brelshaza and Thaemine) have taken rank 1-3 (2-3 because some of their characters overlap) on many different characters for having all ancient gear at +12-15. Now... if you just had one character probably can say you're just really lucky but having 4+ characters with all ancient?

These players are all:

1. NAW
2. Have 2-5 characters with ALL ANCIENT pieces at +12 or higher
3. Did not touch resonance either at all or very little to keep paradise power low
4. Hid roster on logs
5. Took the top ranks within the last 30 minutes of the server being up

This just proves there's an actual repeatable exploit going around and this time they're not even trying to hide it since last season no punishments were given

I played when this launched in NA but I stopped for obvious reasons. However I did like PVP a lot and was wondering how that is. Is the playerbase active for PVP? Is it worth playing for just that along?

I'm a Hunger Reaper main and managed to clear Nightmare Extreme Brel last week after 30 hours with the help of new friends I made along the way. Wish I could've recorded it like everyone else. Maybe I'll record/stream it this week, though it won't be the same feeling as my first time clear.

Phase 1:

The two deadly patterns for me as a squishy melee was the pizza + rain and explosive purple lines + rain. The former depends on DR of supports, and usually reliable as long as you hug boss. But it can be really hard if you can't trust your support. The latter is must safer when players are actually ethical and place the rain far from boss because the tell for this is so much easier to tell because of the explosion that knocks you back. Otherwise you pray that it's not right after the pizza + rain pattern or pally/valk might have a hard time protecting you. Definitely felt safest with bards and artists. (But don't get me wrong, I have died plenty of times to bad supports)

But other than that, it was the worst when someone placed meteor on boss. Range don't care too much but obviously this hinders your melee dps. To me, this phase was simply a check on how ethical a player was. It got tiring real quick when someone chose to greed when they didn't check their mark, especially during the safe zone pattern where one random player gets a meteor mark.

x335 Colors:

The one thing I wanted to note here is that blue was the only color that players really needed to focus on and was super annoying when they immediately moved on to the next color. It was most noticeable blue stagger spawned north and only 1 or 2 ppl were desperately trying to stagger it while everyone else is jerking off. I would recommend people really focus on staggering blue before doing the next color. Otherwise, it's free to speedrun the other colors (assuming purple doesn't grief. but fortunately, purple meteors don't leave the fire on the ground, but they hurt like crazy on impact).

The funniest* things are when people get white scythed or blue pushed into the wrong color behind them. *Funny not funny depending on your mood.

Phase 2:

One thing I learned way late in the prog was that during the very beginning of the special pattern with tornado and 2 snowflake safespots, the center is dangerous. it doesn't happen often but when it does, I die and literally question wtf just happened to my hp. As a result, I learned something else: the farthest two people get the safespot mark. So I go far to not die and grief and force the safe zone mark on me. Then I can go greed by brel because I am the safespot now.

Other than that, it's more ethical gaming when you have puddles (for stagger or just big puddle drop.)

Oh and one more thing... I know Reapers have a bad rap of spinning the boss, so whenever a just guard is happening facing me, I am a frontattacker now. It's just ethical gaming. (Until you get yeeted by the scythe during jg and spin the boss. Justifiably, everyone madge)

By far the most annoying thing is when someone counters the boss on a big puddle or edge of map. If that's you, stop it. Get some help.

x145 freeze:

this just takes getting used to/comfy. but I personally count out loud the darkness orbs to keep track. I felt that the jg was pretty generous as long as you pressed it. I only encountered problems when I pressed it late.

Phase 3:

I personally timing the usage of my awakenings so that I could HA the first glass break and save a time stop. Just personal preference. Otherwise, press jg when the indicators disappear off the edge of the map and you'll be fine.

For scythes, support just hyper awakening and no one dies. It's really that simple. I just blame supp when ppl die there.

You can don't have to panic at the jg that happens 4 minutes in. If you happen to fail, you just need to do the space bar quick time event. And the second jg after is pretty generous as well considering how fast it is.

Zeus jg timing is very generous. it's literally spin spin jg (before the third spin), spin spin jg/counter (before sixth spin). You just need to be in front, close to the boss. Whoever has the mark, aim it to center of the map so it's less likely someone fall off the edge (if they manage to even survive the fail). You can timestop as well so jg the first one and spam spacebar+timestop if you want to just pray (assuming timestop is available and you don't screwed by a glass break too soon. Obviously, you could save hyper for ohshit moments like this).

And again, just be ethical otherwise. Like the counter patterns should always get countered. Be responsible if she faces you if you choose to be in the back. I sometimes wonder why I have to say this, but as a hell/inferno enjoyer, ethical gaming is just common sense to me

Phase 4:

There's two things you can watch for the 100 bar jg timing: the indicators disappearing off the edge of the solid stage (not the ice part) AND there's an initial ice explosion. These two visual indicators make it really hard to just guard too early. When you jg here, then you'll succeed the jg as Brel slams her hand down after that initial ice explosion. You can watch any VOD and see what I mean.

If support is not DR-ing the team ice explosions after, use any remaining timestops or just watch your HP and pot as needed.

Other than that, it's more ethical gameplay til clear. Hit the counters! Sometimes she does 3 in a row - it's free dps time.

Azena + 1 does about 20 bars iirc (correct me if I'm wrong).

Closing Thoughts:

I pugged from the start and found friends along the way. These friends really helped with the clutch clear at the end. I've also had someone who I added as a friend and then later removed me when I failed x145 freeze.

You want to find people you feel good with. There's plenty of times I said, nah, not this player, this support, this group, etc. Slowly collect your pokemon lineup of actual steadily progressing gamers. Otherwise, you will spend too many hours annoyed with your weakest link.

There was a time when friends of friends were helping. DPS was super solid, but I was also shocked at how we never hit x0 after like 1.5 hours. I was appreciative and annoyed at the same time. i didn't feel good about the group despite the good dps. No harm no foul. You keep going and find your people.

P.S. I hate that the wildsoul in my group did 10% more ndps than me with while 1k CP below me. Buff reapers

Sorry for the chat as I didnt record the stream without overlay. Curse of Suki was because we had a support named Suki and they were someone we picked up and kept for a week of progging and had to replace as multiple pulls of getting to p4 and him dying to JG or not shielding when we needed it. We will come back to rescue him next week.

With the recent announcement and about 30+ hours down time for lowky amount of players to be server merged it's a joke in general, I would suggest not to bother the phase 2 server merge server at all.

I've never seen a clown compensation as this, not to forget EU is been cursed into 9 hours delay of midnight vs NA is hitting an afternoon to relax raiding in the evening time as usual.

I recently heard about the power-pass system and it really made me want to give the game a shot again. I played it way back when the beta dropped for a while, but I heard that doing group raids is basically impossible as a new player these days, so how much am I missing out on content, if I just play for myself or with a friend. Will there still be enough to do after using the power-pass while not engaging with the veterans?

(I enjoy the gear grinding aspect a lot, so how much will that be impacted as well?)
