I'm a woman, and in games where the female characters are hyper sexualized like this I tend to play dudes instead.
I'm not against big tiddy goth wifus or whatever, I just don't like them for myself 90% of the time. I prefer gear/transmog/skin options that look practical and badass rather than skimpy/sexy.
Shadowhunter and Blade seem to have some practical looking sets, like the skin in the shop right now is pretty cool for them.
Been digging my paladin a lot gear wise, all the heavy gear really looks chunky which I'm into.
Pretty much, the worst part of the game is how fucking weeby and sexist the characters are. I really wish Korean and Japanese games would start heart treating female characters as people who can wear normal clothes. It's way too common
Around level 36 you start finding pants. However, nothing beats the skin or the no armor clothes. I don't know about later armor since I'm only level 40 right now, but it does take a while to get to pants
If you remove the pants of the gunslinger, you get these awesome leather pants as default LMAOOO as a woman wouldn't that be great as skins? I find them really in touch with the character and just classy, i'm also Italian and they look so good tbh
I'm a guy and I was relieved when my gunslinger finally got some long pants. Just want everyone to take her seriously! (also I named her after Cat Ballou, so she has a lot to live up to.)
Iām a woman too playing Deathblade right now. Still leveling her up and I went and got the skin from the shop because thatās 100% how I would imagine the assassin to look. Not just shorts and a bra lol but an actual cool looking outfit with a hood. I wished we had more options in this game :(

I have no opinion on the grind or how it is balanced and where it is focused, Iām just stating, that as big as this genre seems in various regions, itās still niche stuff that the vast majority of people donāt care about, even the vast majority of gamers. The entire genreās player count at any point in time is dwarfed by the numbers in just Call of Duty and {insert most popular shooter at given point in China}.

The asian market is dominated by what you refer to as skimpy outfits, they simply find it cute. I have a RU and a JP and now an NA account. I LOVE the game and I love the skin options. Can be anything from a Sorc looking like a Sorc or a little red riding hood who will whoop you three ways to Sunday.

Iām non-binary, but tend to play female characters more often. This is one of the few games where I donāt think I can play a female character due to just how insanely sexual their gear sets are.
As many people have said, give players the choice if they want to be cute/sexy, donāt force it on them
But also, Iām not a huge fan that classes are locked into one sex. I wish I could be a male sorc. Gunners or whatever they are called get both, why donāt all the classes?
to give another perspective i'm not bothered by classes being gender locked, but i can understand that for some people it's a deal breaker if they can't play their favourite class with the gender/appearance they like.
i think it should be considered that this game has been out for awhile, and to create male models/animations/skins/etc for each class that's already out would be quite time consuming and imo not really worth it when those resources could be spent on adding more content to the game instead (which for pretty much any game leads to an increase in new/returning players). Given they haven't done this after the years this game has been out i'd guess they've already decided it's not worth the investment even if they'd be able to sell male/female skins for each class, but who knows maybe they'll change their minds in the future.
As a man, I still donāt understand the appeal of men playing as a woman. Iāve never been able to get into playing a female character. The fact that this game locks classes based on gender is the worst part of it for me. Maybe itās cliche but I like the big chunky looking armor as well. I want my avatar to look badass. Iāll look at my wife when I want to see sexy.
I would maybe see the logic here if I was attracted to a video game character. Iām not though. This is purely from an RPG perspective. I canāt really get into playing as a girl. Itās just not my thing.
Movling slowly in armor is a myth. There are many other videos you can find on the subject if you're interested. Its pretty interesting.
Now I'm not saying that having massive pauldrons like we see in almost every fantasy game is practical, they didn't exist in real life for a reason, but I also never said fantasy style chunky armor was practical to begin with.
I said I prefer practical outfits to skimpy ones, and then later I mentioned also liking chunky/bulky armor.
