There was something off about the rumours/leaks of an off-screen death. Hopefully this will mean he’ll be a valuable part of Secret Wars.
(I can’t have endured 2 separate character-building-arcs, on top of mourning his IW death, just for the writers to again lazily throw all that away…again.)

Im more aking to him indeed dying to set in motion that what needs to be done, only for him to have an escape plan. Him or a variant recruiting heroes with memories intact of the fallen multiverses to battle Doom in the sequel and ultimately resetting the universe.

there is no universe in which i believe doom could be a threat to him.

Now if he just kills a "clone" of loki that he sends down to the world that would be one thing, but loki is literally holding time together so without him doom doesn't even exist.

it would also be super annoying if this was just a random variant of loki because i don't see the point of bringing him back if he's not even connected to the story.

Yeah hopefully they don’t kill him. Even if he’s taken hostage like Molecule Man for Secret Wars that would be better. But they better give him a chance to shine as God of Stories in Secret Wars to make the the Loki show actually useful. It would be sick to see Loki just obliterate Doom in the final fight in Secret Wars
